Retired. Finally !!
And.......my life in a door-less Jeep has ended. :brokenhearted:

My wife had the second (and final) session of a tattoo coverup this morning on her left shoulder blade. She informed me that she will NOT be riding around in an open Jeep when the "feels like" temp outside is 107* (it is insanely hot outside) while she's in pain.

Depending on who you are, getting ink either hurts like a mutha or no big deal. Mine felt like sunburn, no biggie. Coverups hurt no matter how tough you think you are because the artist has to really work the area; it's not just put one on top of the other like you'd think.

So my doors and top are back on. No biggie, there will be other days. No need to act like "the man" and make demands, it's stupid and in this case, cruel. This is not the hill I want to die on.

If anyone here has had fresh ink in the sunlight, you know of what I speak.

Put my new exhaust on and removed the OEM running boards. Also got my Amazon special doors-off mirror mounts installed. No pics cuz I had to take a few calls right when I started working on it.

I hear ya there!! Mine felt like sunburn too. Still need to get them finished up when I have some extra funds. Need to get wifey’s finished up to eventually. Her artist is high demand though so scheduling is a bear. No shame in running doors on. I do with the windows down or if too windy then half down so my dang hat doesn’t blow off my head.

You just reminded me that I keep forgetting to redo the harness for the rear receiver winch. So I can use it on the tractor. Cuz…why not. So far using the little Warn drill winch a lot on the tractor. But I’ve found its pull limit a couple of times already.

Ah the days of vpns….Other than intra organization site to site, I outlawed vpns for users like 15 years ago at least. Too much risk to the environment. I’m a big fan of ssl access to virtual apps and desktops instead. :)
Our was for remote offices, especially for cases where our satellite office was in a college, on campus, where they let us use their internet, but we were not able to place ASAs and make an extension to our network. They connected to the college, launched VPN, it confirmed AD group membership for the PC, then for the user, and looked for the registry entries and files I placed. If any one of those things was imperfect, the connection was refused.
I laughed when logs showed attempted access to ports or protocols on our main office ASA and they were told there was nothing there. The attempts simply died.
I used a German VPN that met all of the EU security requirements and had a fail-over at Camp Dodge. It was crazy complex but had never been compromised.
Due to our needs to interact with the main state systems, everything had to appear as if it was local to us. And I was really pleased when SSA came by and checked us out (because we had data sharing agreements with them)

This was an easy "do to" - checked all fluids. And shock of shock - all fluids were just fine after over a year of driving in all conditions.

PS fluid where it belongs. (was a bit warmer when I checked and marked it, accounting for it being on the bottom edge of the marks)

Thanks. When you have a lot of wiring and harnesses in a small area, you have to be neat about it.
Between the snow plow harnesses, 6 relays, control module and other harnesses connecting into lighting, the winch wiring, and things going to the back......... it's a lot in a small area.

Thanks very much. I’m learning a lot. As of today, 69 posts set, 26 to go. About 400’ of actual fence finished.
