I am looking to get a mojave, so 4.10 gears. Test drove one this weekend and found it to be pretty sluggish and hard a hard time keeping rpm out of a corner.
I'm running 6sp Mojave and find its fantastic out of corners. In fact I love the way it shifts
with just wrist and finger. I don't have to even move my arm.

The clutch was really mushy when new though, and took 2.5K before the engagement zone sharpened up. I now find the light clutch makes for quick shifts.

It also took me a while before I figured out this V6 needs to be spun up and don't be timid about using its full rev range or hitting the limiter.

Have a 21 Willys with a manual and stock 3.73. If I want to go to a 33 inch tire after the stock 32inch tires wear out will i feel the difference?
Don't by tires, buy gears :) Really jeep should have put 4.10 in a MT as 3.73 are really at the ragged edge for a MT already. Or see if you can finagle a test drive in a 4.10 MT. Regearing to 4.88 would be a great option if your planning on keeping it. 33's with 4.88 would be a decent combo.

Just got my 21 Willys Sport M6, I love this truck! Still getting used to my takeoffs as I sometimes can't hear the rev and conk out.. Embarrassing but oh well! Lifted it and put 39s. I don't see 5th gear anymore.. Lol! But it's not as bad as everyone in this forum said it would be. Re-gearing to 5.13 as soon as the shop can schedule me in. (Only one guy I trust here in Guam to do this) overall, I think once I re-gear and upgrade my exhaust, I'm gonna love my JT even more! I'm old-school when it comes to trucks.. "If it ain't manual, it ain't a truck!" no offense to anyone! ✌?
Have you got your gears done yet. Wondering how it changed the performance, or lack of performance of the manual transmission.

It needs rpms. You won't get past 3rd or 4th gear until you hit the highway. That's what takes a little while to get used to. 3rd is super long. I could theoretically hit the speed limiter in 3rd on 35s. But if you aren't wanting to feed it RPMs, and shift a lot, the auto might be a better choice. If it falls below 2000-ish RPMs, it won't pull at all. You said you've only owned manuals, as have I. So I think you'd get used to it. But if your gut is telling you to go auto, you probably should, rather than end up with an expensive vehicle you don't thoroughly enjoy.

As long as you let it have the RPMs when it needs them, it'll move well enough. But the torque curve isn't conducive to low RPM cornering at all. It requires active downshifts, often.

Other option is regear, of course, to get a little more torque multiplication.
Thank you for your feedback. Love my manuals and appreciate your advise.
