Good afternoon. I was changing out my steering stabilizer to the Falcon 2.2 on my 2023 Jt Rubicon Diesel and found this plug see attached pics.

Does anyone know what this belongs to? I found it under my old steering stabilizer bracket on the Fad Axle side. I have checked the diff hoisin

I've only ever seen a plug like that on the diff housing. If none of those plugs were missing I'd almost wonder if it has been sitting in there since the axle was built on the Dana assembly line. hard to tell in the pic but it almost looks new/unused.

Same here SD, only on the Diff housing. it doesn't look used at all the threads are clean doesn't have oil residue on it, and the tape looks unthreaded. Figured id post it just incase someone else has seen any other plugs like this around.

You're not leaking fluids. It looks unused. So you got yourself a spare part now. See if it's the same as the diff cover filler plug.

Haha Already Bagged it and tagged it as a extra Diff plug. I did confirm it fits a diff cover. and correct no fluids have been leaking.

There has been a few reports of people finding extra bolts, etc just chilling in their engine bay from factory lol. Spare parts for free!

haha makes sense as to why the cost of these have gone up. Diff cover plugs "we ordered 1000 and we only built 400 axles say what" Glad to see Jeep is keep up with the Easter eggs for us owners to find and share.
