I like to glue ducks to the hoods of random Ford Broncos with PL construction adhesive……just kidding……or am I…..

In all honesty, between the ducks the wave it’s a little harmless fun. And considering that literally everything is tribal and political now, it’s kind of refreshing that this doesn’t have some larger point. I’d give ducks to Toyota and Ford folks on the trail too. Why not.

The other day at the local Walmart. I went to duck another JT. The owner caught me. And preceded to rip me a new one. Saying that I was f#$kin' with his Jeep, and that he going to shoot me if I put the duck on his JT. I asked if he wanted the duck. He said f$%k NO! I told him what an asshole he was. And what I was doing was a act of kindness. Spreading the cheer. Then I said. If you were to reach for you gun. I will drop you where you stand. I had already placed my hand on the grip of mine when he said that he was going to shoot me. The look on his face changed big time when he looked to see where my right hand was.

I had already ducked 2 other Jeeps close by before this.

Reports like this, coupled with what I've seen regarding the reactions of people to stuff in game shows and things of no real world importance tells me that if AI doesn't get us, we'll end up killing ourselves off. Attitudes like that, I just don't get. And people going ballistic because a game show contestant made certain gestures every time he spoke - what the heck is going on???
How is placing a tiny rubber toy on a door handle or whatever "f'ing" with a vehicle?
Sorry, he needs a serious attitude adjustment or someone is going to end up ending him.
Maybe his parents never let him play with his rubber duckies in the tub and now he's triggered every time he sees one?
The dude needs to lighten up - it's just a toy. It can't harm his "precious"

I was being real nice until he said that he was going to shoot me. I already have one bullet hole in my back.

AI or us…kind of the same difference, but I agree with you. I’d genuinely be shocked if we don’t off ourselves before the planet (partially self-induced) or an asteroid has a chance to finish us off.

While shows like Jericho (2007) and The Walking Dead are fictional, I do think they do a great job of depicting how the average person would handle a civilization altering crisis. That is to say that a LOT of folks are assholes just waiting to be unleashed.
