What part of Texas are you in, Offender?

There is a 450 mile loop through National Forest trails
in East Texas. I have not driven it myself
but there are several YouTube videos available.
East Texas 450

Hunting is also allowed in the National Forests.

I am in in SE TX Nueces very close to the beach so it's Padre Island and all the sand you can eat. The was really just "tongue in cheek". I realize that there are many 4x4 parks in TX but there is NO public land in what is a HUGE state. Less than 5%. For the crowd that says "Just leave if you don't like it". I will move when I retire but my home officce is in Houston and I have a pension (remeber them).

When people make videos on YouTube of all the 4x4 adventures they go on it is usually on public land managed by the BLM. But TX is TX and to avoid the federal government and to avoid actually having to pay to maintain the land it sold it all off and now it's all surrounded by fences.

You pay for all of the adventure parks because it is private land! Outside of the state and federal parks you are surrounded by "Keep off the grass" signs.

I feel you man, im in SE Texas and am in the same boat... I plan on purchasing in the panhandle of the state so that I am a couple hours away from Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma etc. I want to live here in Texas but I want to be able to enjoy the things I grew up with in the PNW. I know its supposed to be a tornado alley up there but fuck it at least it breaks up the monotony.

You should check out Wolf Caves. It has some pretty good trails to do and is way less crowded than Hidden Falls. Usually just your group and maybe another group there every time I have gone.

It looks interesting so thank you for the heads up. I will say again this was just a jab at TX. Huge state with NO public land. Wolf Creek is 430 acres of private land. I'll also make the excuse that it's 4-5 hours away. BIG state.
After over a decade here I still like to poke fun at Texans and their "Keep Off the Grass" state. It's just a joke!
