I have one of the Ring Dash Cams. It stores stuff locally, and uploads it. I pay for the cellular option so it is always accessible, not just at home connected to the Wi-Fi. I ordered two on the introduction sale in January. The second one I ordered toward the end and am still waiting for it to ship.
The only real drawback is it gets power from the OBD port. At some point, I will install another OBD port that pulls power from the Aux switches hot wire to run the camera.
