See my user name!! LOL!
Hello folks, I'm new to the Gladiator forum. Basically introducing myself. I'm a long time Jeep owner and have owned many Jeeps in the last forty years.

A question I have is (And if it's already been covered, my apologies) how may folks would have been interested in the two door Gladiator that was a concept a few years ago. Myself, I would've been very interested after having owned a Scrambler (CJ-8) for 25 years. I think the two door is a very sharp ride.

Thoughts?

I think one with a 6’4 bed would be cool.

Two door would be a cool production vehicle. However, I do love my four doors. I've owned all types of wranglers, YJ, CJ, JKU and two LJs, still have 06 LJ. Having the extra doors, to me is easy of access to rear area. Not having to unzip windows to gain items and equipment is a big plus. I am getting older so easy is always attractive.

I agree Don, two door would be a great production model. Like yourself, I've owned I've owned all types of wranglers, YJ, CJ, JKU and two LJs, still have 06 LJ. (Dang! I had two LJ's also!! [04 & 06] Both are gone now, unfortunately) I agree that having the extra doors is definitely nice. My wife loves our JT. Hard for me to get a chance to drive it! LOL! I get stuck with the F-150. And that's okay too.

I like 2 door wranglers, not sure about a gladiator.

Both of my LJs were 06 models, one sport and one Rubicon. Still have my Rubicon LJ however, I'm going to have to sell it soon. I want more expensive accessories for my JT so, she has to go for me to afford parts. I love it, I dont want to get rid of it but, JT is my soon to be retirement vehicle. Lmao....

I would trade my 4 door gladiator in the second I could for a 2 door. It looks like a real life tonka truck to me. I would want the same 5 foot bed and everything just in a 2 door package.

I would want one but probably wouldn’t buy one due to the kids. Havent had a 2 door pickup since 04 ?. Maybe in 8 years though ?

When I ordered my Gladiator, I really, really, really wish they'd offered a two door. Now that I have my four door, I really, really, really (still) wish they'd offer a two door. But, I'm not taking the financial hit to buy one should Stellantis come to their senses on this. Anyway, I'm certain when they do, that will be the year a manual transmission is no longer an option. And I'd rather drive a four door family model with a stick than a two door slushbox.

It would look cool, but after owning a regular cab truck for 5 years, I wouldn't buy one again. There's no storage space and you can't lay the seats back. It's just not something I would enjoy as much.

I can see why a lot of people would like that. I personally would miss what the four doors allows me to do. I like carrying things (laptop, work stuff, etc.) and people, even sometimes my cat, inside while having the truck bed behind me. I've had two door trucks before, but never a crew cab. I don't see myself going back. A crew cab (that's also a Jeep) that I can still parallel park on Main Street is the winner for me.

I’m probably the kind of guy that the marketing people at Jeep warn the bean counters about. I would love a two door, circle the dealerships for one, follow on line.... but then buy the 4 door... because I have to.

I like my jeeps, but I’m a jku buyer and now the jt. Reality is I need the 4-5 passenger seating or I’d need a different vehicle.

in the era of predictive marketing consumer studies... etc. I think that Jeep & kroger could tell me more about my next car or next trip to the grocery then I could:movember:

I initially would have prefered a two door extended cab with about a 6 ft. bed, same overall length because I knew the back seats wouldn't be used. Recently removed the rear seats and replaced them with with a platform with out of sight storage underneath, now this setup is more functional than an extended cab would have ever been.

Similar to the examples in @WatExit? thread
