The JLUR is probably more like 6k pounds loaded, but it's been on 39s most of its life. It was an XR to start so 4.56s are factory. The ball joints got replaced at ~30k miles. Pushing close to 60k now. The rest of the axles are bone stock. Done the rubicon, John Bull, holcomb creek, and thousands of miles in the desert. No trusses, no shafts, hell even the tie rod is stock. Yeti flipped drag link and raised track bar mount. I didn't want to sink a dime into the stock axles and figured I'd have had to buy tons long ago. Still kicking.

Mine is 7000lbs before I load up.. my gvrw is 3400 frt and 3750 rear. weight as a daily driver without my 200lbs is 3340 frt and 3670 rear. Haven't weighed it lately so couls be little higher frt and rear. Largest tire I'd go, on 38" trail Grapplers now would be 40's unless I go tons then its 42's.

Been running BFG 39s on my rig for 2 years now. Did destroy 2 rear axles OEM uses Ball Bearings on the pinion . destroyed the rears just running the highway. Upgraded to a Dana Semi Float 60 and never looked back.
Front is a Artec Trussed OEM 210 with RCV shafts and Correctlynk knuckles and associated steering. So far so good.
Ran Rubicon fully loaded (est 7500#) and had Zero issues with the axles. The air suspension is another story.

I have a friend on hear that runs 40s on semi stock axles. Trussed front RCV and a triangulated rear with no issues. Hers is gas and running 5.38 gears.

I comes down to how you drive. Yes you can make a OEM axle survive with 40 or you could kill a OEM on 33s.

Thanks for the info.
Ran a easy trail except for one spot I bypassed. Sourgrass.
I need a better rear sway bar so ordering a Rockjock 1.125 kit today.
I was unlocked in front so may end up either getting a RJ front or a TK1 front.
Need to adjust the bypass as they are setup for the desert now, if needed after the Antirock.
Didn't hit anywhere except the rear bumper a couple of times.
The SJ I helped build for a bud $ no object build it worked great just need to raise up 2-3" for weight when loaded.
