In early 2020 my wife decided she wanted a new vehicle. She had a 04 WJ with only 68K on the clock, it was in excellent shape. I had a 2011 JK with 100k on the clock to trade in with her WJ to keep costs down. I also had a 2016 TJ sport loaded for my daily driver. Long story short she got a great deal on her Sport S JT it had all the major bells and whistles. I drove it off and on during 2020 and really liked it. So, in the spring in 2021 I decided to go to the dealer and look at the JTs. They had about 15 different models. I ended up getting a JT Rubi fully loaded, winch, tow package with trailer break control, hard tonneau cover and more. They gave me 26K for my TJ and the dealer no haggle price was 5k less than MSRP. I will have it a year this April and so far, no complaints. Hunting was great I actually winched out a couple of PUs they got stuck in deep. I have had a jeep or 3 in the yard since 1975 so now we have hisin and herin JTs.

Was at the dealer today getting the Jeep wave oil change on da wife's JT. Holly crap bat man! her model went from 47k to 53k and some change. My model went from 58k to 63K. The dealer at the most is taking off 1K only on any vehicles. Glad we purchased ours when we did. We do tow a trailer and she bragged hers had 500 more pounds of towing capacity.

Hopefully your dealer only put in 5 qts of oil and not 6 as most do. And very cool story

Isn't this in the photos and videos section?

Congratulations on your purchases. I was about to buy my wife a Jeep last year, but she saved me the trouble by cheating on me. Now that the divorce is final and she is no longer getting any of my paycheck, I have a JTSD on order. Her boyfriends turned on her and she is working her first fulltime job ever at age 51 and I am getting a new Jeep. Revenge is sweet.

Nice, I also find myself really enjoying the JT. Did you have a JK or a TJ though? I’m confused.

Carma is a bitch!
I am pretty lucky in the marriage department, she does not like jewelry, flowers or primping or fancy closes. However, she loves shopping at lowes, home improvements and keeping me busy on the get-er-done list and owning jeeps. She also has bought me every type of tool you can imaging. I recently built her an entire new custom kitchen, floors, cabinets, tables and counters and all new appliances. Need to find out if I can block HGTV and DIY channels. This year will be my 47th year she has been married to me.

I have had both also back in the day on the farm had a 44 Willys my uncle put it together after he purchased it in the 50s from a government auction. That started my love of jeeps. He had farm tags on it and at 10 years old I drove it to school and around town.

We only made it 30 years. As soon as she moved in with her sister, I began saving $4k/month and that was before selling the house and downsizing my expenses. Lawyer only cost me $2600 for settling an "at fault" divorce. I'm planning to build a barndominium soon and I will be doing most of the construction myself. Having a paid off house with no utility costs within the next 3-5 years will complete my revenge. She is already blowing through her settlement.

I see your in Texas, my son was stationed at FT. Hood many years ago. He was a special operator in communications. He retired out of FT. Gorden 3 years ago with 22 years in and got his degree in computer science. He was pretty well beaten up and they retired him at 95% disability. He has 2 bronze stars. In his last job he was in-charge of all communication in Afghanistan. Now he runs all digital communications in one of the counties in GA.

Sounds like you are well on the way on getting things in good order and discipline. The older I get I look back and wonder where the time has gone. I cannot change the past but, I dame sure can make my future; as it is all about choices good, bad or indifferent.

im also confused by this. You stated twice you traded in a 2016 TJ. They stopped making TJs in 2006. So what did you trade in for your JT?
