I could not agree more. Everything up to the summit is easy. And down to the steps is easy as well, but you still need to pay attention. The steps weren’t awful, but having the kids in back made me slightly more anxious. The only spot I really hated was being stuck waiting for the group ahead of us. Tree parts were falling on the Jeep from above, and it was perfect weather. In a storm, sitting where we were would have been very bad.

Everyone had a great time. But don’t do it alone. Trusted spotters are key. Only in one or two places, but on that trail, it’s easy with a good spot, or death.

This was a bucket list trail, and it was really made special because my kids and lifelong friends were with me.

It’s on the go pro, and I believe still available. I’ll go through things when I get home. I was ecstatic at how well I was able to live stream with Starlink. The trail had relatively little tree cover, so it worked quite well.
