Installed the Wolfbox g900 tripro. Everything works great except trying to connect my phone. Wolfbox will not connect through wifi and when it tries to android auto disconnects. If I use a wired connection to the radio would this solve the problem? I really only use android auto when traveling for google maps. I assume I can still use uconnect for cell phone use. Anyone else have this issue and what did you do to solve it?
Thanks

Did you do the decrypt/format thing to the SD card? Mine does this sometimes but as long as I can still lock videos I don’t worry about it overly much.

I had the same ossue. I did some research and found out the following. Wolfbox G900 Pro does not connect to regular wifi like normal devices other that it own with your personal cell phone.
if anybody knows anything different, please let me know.

Sounds like the Wolfbox WiFi and wireless Android Auto are fighting over the phone connection. A wired Android Auto connection to the radio may solve it since it frees up the wireless connection for the Wolfbox. I don't have the G900, but I've run into similar issues with dash cams that use WiFi. You should still be able to use Uconnect for phone calls while using wired Android Auto. I'd try that first and see if the disconnects go away.

i have the g900 and an apple iphone 17. my phone can not be plugged into carplay. i can not have my bluetooh on and i turn off cellular service.....i still get interrupted signals trying to download videos. I have turned off private/relay IP stuff to no success.

I have chalked it up to poor design between products. i can snatch the sd card out easy enough, just not as convenient.

Im not even going to worry about trying to download right off the camera. I just got a cheap adz laptop but it has an SD slot so I can just do it that way. No need to overcomplicate my life.

I really only use android auto for google maps. One thing I thought of is just adding the factory navigation. Its expensive though $844 for the module from infotainment but would come in handy if I'm in a place with no cell service. I will be living out of my Jeep and traveling all over when I retire so maybe for now try the wired setup and save up for the factory nav upgrade.

The factory stuff is basic, at best, for that same $800+ you can find a good deal on a Garmin or an iPad mini type thing and do one of the app things on it for maps. I guess for Android it would be a Chromebook (?). Not too sure on the platforms. Just look at all the options before you throw money to a stealership and have them install one. You can get a lot more detail that is easier to use in the aftermarket.

I would install it myself. Would never let a dealership touch my Jeep except for recalls.
