A rare Friday off work so I took the opportunity to finally install my Wolfbox G850 PRO 4K

- Powered thru the OBD2 port
- Rear cam VHB mounted on the trailer hitch
- OEM Style mirror mount

Works Great

Two issues though; the sun visors are now useless and mad glare on sunny days.

The visors can’t be helped unless any of you guys have a solution, and I purchased a mat overlay to hopefully knock down the glare.

Question for @WOLFBOX

Is there a setting to automatically put the screen to sleep?

Thank you for your support, my friend.

If you want to turn off the screen, you can set the screen saver mode in settings menu. Pressing power button or saying "turn off screen" will also do.

This anti-glare film should help with the glare.

Swapped out the OBD power harness to a proper 12v switched accessory power harness. Now the system powers down when the Glad shuts down. Not sure why the OBD harness did not do the same, maybe I overlooked a menu setting.

I just bought and installed a vantrue dashcam using an obd2 harness. The obd2 harness is needed if you want to use parking mode which records when the vehicle shuts off and is triggered by motion or set to record at low frame rates. If I don't want it to record while the engine is off, I just turn off the dashcam. Maybe the wolfbox is similar?

You need.to read your manual. There are likely a bunch of settings you need to understand to fully take advantage of your dashcam. If you don't, you may regret it if you get into a situation where you need the footage.
