If I was riding on the wrong calibration will it hurt my transmission? Or anything for that matter. I was programmed at 32.75 for my 285/70/17 and left it for a while. I realized that my shift points seemed happier at the measurement of the actual tire 31.5. Can that hurt anything?

How close is your speedometer? But if you did not change your tires, it's correct.

That answers question. I haven’t changed them...My Willys tires howl on the open road and I love it! Takes my back to my high school days in my F250 with ground hogs on it…

Had 38" Gumbo Mudders on my '76 Chevy. First wifey called them Gumbo Mudfuckers. 45 minutes on the highway, they would put you to sleep from the noise. :CWL:

Grab a GPS device or use a GPS app on your phone.
Set one of your trip meters to 0 miles (A or B)
Set the GPS to track trip miles (or GPS app - don't plug your phone into the truck if you use your phone)
Drive 20 miles.
Check the trip meter on your truck vs. the miles driven on your GPS or phone app.
They should match to the tenth of a mile.

Speedometers aren't a great way to tell because they round numbers.
IF you truck speedometer says 55 - is it 54.6 or 55.4 mph? Same for the speed you are comparing to - you could be off by almost 2 mph using speedometers and speed!

The worst that could happen is if it's off much, your warranty could run out before it should LOL
If it says you are driving faster and going more miles, could add up.
But damage? No.

I’ll give it a shot… I still miss my old 79 F250.. the day I drove that in to the high school parking lot (1983) I was king for about 7 days. Then everyone wanted those big a$$ tires they were cheep back then… now at 53 I will live out my high school memories for 3-4 years then I’ll get a quieter set of tires.

I had 38" gumbo monster mudders on my '77 CJ7. Man driving that to D.C. would put you to sleep after a couple hours on the highway, just like you said. Loved to hear them sing.
