Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the Artec liners I ordered will fit the diesel without relocating the windshield washer tank.
That’s a bummer. You gonna try and make it work? Or is Artec planning a diesel specific version (I assume you spoke to them)?

I realized it late in the afternoon so didn’t get a chance to touch base with Artec.
I will likely try and relocate the tank as with the new 43s I need as much clearance as possible. Designing them with that in place would limit tire clearance a bit.

Súper cool build! Your getting 24 with 37s on 3.73 gears? That’s better than I thought.
What’s your IG?

Actually after deleting the rear mufflers and trying really hard I’m averaging above 28mpg(75% highway). I pulled this off on my drive home the other night staying at or below 65. I am having a slight competition with one of the other guys at the shop that has a JLU Diesel on stock 33s lol.

Nice!

I waiting for a local diésel demo so I can actually drive and hear the difference between gas and diesel. But I’m very much leaning to trade mine gasser for diesel.

thanks for the info!

@TTEChris how are the quake leds holding up? Do they yellow in time? I’ve seen some AAL start yellowing.
I’ve run both. I haven’t run into any issues with the Quake(We’ve run them on 4 of our shop Jeeps now.)
I didn’t have yellowing with the AAL but one of them ended up having issues due to condensation inside the lens. AAL was quick to send a replacement but it would have been nice to get both as the new one had a drain.

Installed a set of Artec rear fender liners. I had to get a little creative with hose routing that isn’t present on the 3.6 but they work.
I have the fronts to match, but need to relocate the windshield washer resovoir.

After some playing around with the washer tank I was able to install the Artec front fender liners. I also picked up a used steel bumper from a customer until my motobilt set arrive.

KMC wheels arrived
Now I need to decide on a color combo before the Dynatrac axles show up.

Looks good. That mpg is insane. I'm planning on buying a eco and trading my ram in on it. I'll be using my wheels from my truck. They weigh in at 120 each. That's a 24x14 With a 35. I assume those 37s may weigh about the same?

Thanks!

I would say it’s fairly close. These wheels are close to 50lbs and the tires are 80lbs. My mileage has tapered off with the holidays and more short trips/traffic. I’m now sitting at 24.8mpg which I’m still really happy with.

My wife got me an early Xmas gift! KC Gravity Pro 6 light barand A pillar lights.

Having built our 3.6l Gladiator we already have a general idea where we want to end up with this build.
I’ve wanted a diesel wrangler since my first JK in 2012 so when it came time to start over the Diesel seemed like the logical choice.
In the first 150 miles the Diesel feels so effortless to drive compared to the 3.6l that always seems like it’s trying so hard.

First off our previous 3.6l JT

We took delivery of our Hydro Blue Diesel 11/30/2020
Jeep Gladiator You’re my boy Blue (Diesel JT Build) 87B6C486-E196-44C1-9CE4-01FBBD2D0861

Prior to taking delivery we ordered a set of Dynatrac 60/80 axles, 43x15 Mickey Thompson Baja Pro XS tires. The axles are set to arrive sometime in January. We had a set of KMC Grenade Beadlocks on order, but may cancel due to availability and go with another set of Spyderlock’s.

I picked up a set of used 18” Spyderlock’s with 37” KM3’s that I will be running until the axles arrive. Surprisingly they fit at stock height with minor bumper trimming, but I plan on temporarily installing a small spacer lift and a quake fender chop that we have ordered.

While we are waiting on axles we will be deciding what bumpers to run, but currently we are on the fence between Motobilt and Artec.

Much more to come
I missed it somewhere...what lift are you going with?

I have a Rebel DSS front with 14” travel coilovers sitting at the shop that I will likely use up front. I also have a set of 16” coilovers sitting here that I may attempt to get creative with on the rear.

I haven’t decided on arms/etc. I’ve been meaning to find the time to see what would be required to relocate the DEF tank as that would open up some possibilities.
