Poison Spider / Golden Spike / Gold Bar Rim in Gladiator Rubicon

Getting around to editing my videos from June trip to Moab. This three trail day is amazing. If you get the chance it really brings together so many different terrains from around Moab into one day of wheeling. Bring plenty of supplies and tools. One of our guys had a diesel JT that just tapped the stock fuel/water separator skid plate and pushed it into the separator and broke the fittings. No trail fix could be done so I tried towing him out but the diesel on 40's is much heavier than mine. After getting myself and towing him up a couple of ledges it became too difficult. We had to leave his rig on the trail overnight. Luckily they had a new fuel/water separator back in Colorado so road trip it was. Went back the next day and fixed it and finished Gold Bar Rim again. Amazing scenery with some awesome obstacles to really test your rig out. We hit all the big obstacles Launch Pad, Skyline Drive, Zuki Hill, Golden Crack, Golden Stairs, Double Whammy and the Waterfall. Some were a lot more interesting in the rain.

I have done some gnarly trails with the stock rubicon sliders. I am still on the fence with getting some bigger sliders that would protect more. I don't want to lose any clearance and not sold on the look of most of them. The wife also does not like the look of "step" sliders.

I like these or similar styled as I seem to always cut it close to the doors and my dog is destroying the rear panel under the door when he mistimes a jump and taps his paws on the panel. Could give him a nice step to just anchor into these slider to give him a leg up.

Only damage on the body I have right now is where I layed the jeep onto my gopro. The gopro and mount dented the body right between the front and rear door. So I also don't want to go the armor plating because I don't think it will match up with the body right there anymore.

I have found a couple that are on my list, that is one. Always hard to see exactly how much clearance is lost with the mounting. I want frame mounted for durability and strength but hesitant to go welded. I also have the Artec aluminum skid plats that it appears would interfere with a couple of brands out there.

Same here. I would have the dent doc give it a try and see if they can message it out again or if they have to use a puller and then fix the paint Awell, wife sais it's a Jeep, stop thinking about it

Lucky or unlucky my first damage to my Gladiator was a 10 point deer hit. I saw him and sped up so he hit me on the side just behind driver rear door. He dented it bad and tore my fender off, bounced off the wheel and went across the road. Insurance 100% covered but took the sting out of me doing any damage to it.


I have so many pinstripes it looks like I pissed a lot people off and they keyed my truck. Silver hides it at least a little.

Do it! I used a cheap amazon 90degree mount and a carbon fiber extension pole that I put a camera tightening bolt in the end so I could make it tight but pull it off by hand. I ran a USB chord up to the camera and back into the jeep to a battery pack. I put a 500GB card in it and ran it all day.

Unfortunately this was the trail that I caught it on a bush and broke the pole. Messed around with some other mounts but was later in the trip and didn't get much else from the 360 as it has to be mounted out for better view. Some of my other videos have better view from it. Makes it look like someone is driving in front of you videotaping you.

Used these to mount to my bull bar. Got the GoPro Max right before this trip. Didn't know all the best ways to use it but still got amazing shots.

Just make sure to get a mount that is centered. The GoPro mounts are offset and then the pole will show up in the videos.

I wish I had known it was legal in Illinois to do that. Didn't know at the time. Just went back with a knife to make sure he was dead and get him off the road.

Nice video. Plan to do the Trifecta in May.

Check out the rock sliders built by S3 Powersports. I installed a set this week and they are strong.
