Very nice. Looks great!

I got an Agri-Cover Outlander on my Gladiator, primarily because it comes with see-through windows on all four sides and my dog rides back there.

I also like the "looks" of the Agri-Cover the best of the three I looked at: Agri-Cover, Softopper and Bestop.

Having said that, the Softopper looks best in terms of overall quality and fit-and-finish.

The fit-and-finish on my Agri-Cover is a bit...well...agri-cultural...

Cheers!

I installed the Softopper in May, 2024. Love it! I ended up getting the mesh windows for front and back because after a half year or so the clear plastic windows were getting too tarnished and scratched up. Especially if you roll it up for any period of time. Moisture coming in is negligible.

One of the best aspects of the Softopper is that you can roll up the back and both of the sides and still travel at Interstate speeds. The other brands only recommend traveling at 45 mph or less with all 3 sides rolled up.

The install looks great, enjoy!

I’m digging the color. I love my softopper, and I like the Datin Fabricators rack that fits over it. Next up is some LED strip lights for the back. Two strips on the side rails and one across the back rail.

I’m curious - and I don’t mean to start a fight.

But outside of it being cheaper in price, what is the point of going with a soft topper over a bed cap?

Off the top of my head pros for a hard cap:

- Better security

- Tougher material for better durability

- Weather resistant

- Able to mount racks

Again I’m more curious. I’ve seen a few around WI - but more bed caps and racks vs a soft topper.

I don't own one but off the top of my head..
1. cost
2. weight
3. ease of removing
4. different configurations

Oh Bud, you’re not gonna start any fight here that’s all I matter of choice. I personally went with a soft top because of the versatility of it if I need to help anyone in my family move in less than a couple of minutes, I can have it folded all the way forward and can haul anything and have the full use of my bed with a solid topper. I don’t have that.

In my particular case, I wanted the ability to remove the sides and back curtains since my dog rides back there; didn't want to spend more than $1,000, didn't want the added weight of a fiberglass cap that high up; I live alone, so the ability to remove it all by myself was a huge factor.

IMHO, fiberglass shells look...well...dorky. You know, like grandpa is driving to the senior center...

I tend to agree. Although I have been known to make the trip to my Grandmothers retirement complex and enjoy the buffet with her.......can't beat it. I just don't want to LOOK like I enjoy it yet.

I went back and forth on the Softtopper and the SmartCap, actually. Sounds like an Apples and Oranges situation, I suppose, but they were both viable in my case. Honestly, if I didn't have other trucks that were more convenient for hauling large things around town, the SoftTopper would have made a lot more sense.
