Yeah, but take a look at base Wrangler pricing on a 4 door. Pricing between Gladiators and comparable wrangler trims is 2500-3000 or less, depending on trim. Overland to Sahara is pretty much at parity. And Wranglers have roll up windows too. You have to spend 37860 to get a wrangler sport S with power windows/locks. A gladiator sport S is $40965. They are both "overpriced" for the class. I guess I'll believe it when I see it. I can see it potentially not getting a next generation. But I don't see it not finishing the current one. I guess the difference is whether you see the gladiator as an extension of the Wrangler, or its own entirely separate thing. I see it as just another Wrangler variant. They make two door wranglers and 4 door wranglers. Why not a truck wrangler? I mean the interior is identical. Even the doors are the same.I assume they are in some sort of redesign/update phase of the wrangler. I wonder if that starts the conversation about retooling the gladiator along side or stop production. I think the danger is gladiator pricing. Seems to be getting mighty expensive even at the very base level considering how stripped down those are with manuel locks and windows. I don’t think the average buyer is interested that level of basic. People are into gadgets and gizmos these days.
Unless they are just struggling to make enough Wranglers, it's not causing them any issues.
