I think @aceisback has been permantently banned. Mods here get butt hurt very easily.

@aceeisback and I were both banned for a while -- but only from this thread. We had exchanged DMs and kind of pieced it together. We could read the O thread and like posts, but could not contribute to its content. Apparently, it was over political posts -- and most of those politically related posts were removed. It was very odd. For what it's worth, there were no warnings, no emails, just poof!

If Ace is truly gone, then it may have been for actions on another thread. From what I recall, there was a thread that started out very much like this one, and he dumped a ton of content on it -- like it was his damn job. ?

Next thing you know -- that thread is locked, and I hadn't seen anything from Ace on the board since then. Hopefully, it isn't permanent, but he may very well be so fed up he isn't bothering. If you can message him -- maybe his account is still active.

The thread title has "*** No POLITICS ***" in the title -- so I get why.

The main issue I have with the moderation is that they could have easily, instead, made the notification that this was "Water Cooler Chat and other musings" making members aware that it may not be necessarily be about jeeps.

Likewise, the thread title was changed -- From the Last Jeep I will ever own, to O -- I assume in an effort to make it go away. I don't understand that either. If the thread is driving participation and content, members will wander over to other topics, visit sponsor content, and over all contribute to the success of the forum.

I am pretty sure the OP changed the thread title. Any moderator can delete this or any other thread. So this thread still being here and viewable shows the moderator team has chosen to not delete it.

As to @aceisback being finally banned, I have no personal knowledge to the exact details and only know what little everybody else does. That beings said, I can say from my experience being a moderator on a few Gun related forums over the years, most well run forums are benevolent dictatorships and not run as a membership based popularity contest on what content stays and does not stay.

This board and it's owners sell ad space, being a Gladiator discussion forum is a secondary function. The ownership sets the tone and the mods are suppose to implement it. There is no 1st amendment rights for any member here on a privately owned forum board. So right or wrong, there was probably something aceisback pushed that was warned previously to not do again and got him banned.

I will say that this is probably one of the most stealth moderated forums I have been on in who are the actual active mods and the mod that actually banned aceisback is a member they made a moderator or if it is actually a corporate Admin/Mod account that actually got him?
