if the tracking site says "scheduled"...does that mean that all the parts needed are available and it's just waiting its turn for production?
unfortunately, my dealer hasn't been too forthcoming with useful details...just that the vehicle "has a vin number and waiting to go into transit status". :computerrage:
Not necessarily. It can still be weeks, or months before it’s built.

As I have said earlier my Gladiator's estimated ship date was Sept 20th. My dealer just texted me today that, while it is still in D1 status, the estimated ship date slipped 2.5 weeks to Oct 8th. I asked if any of their 2023 orders were in production and I received a confusing answer. I was hoping for conformation that full rate 2023 production has really started but I can't say that I got that.

Not sure if anyone knows this or not, but they haven’t ran at all over at Jeep on the Gladiator side since last Thursday night the 15th. They have all suppliers as well on mass layoff numbers and they return to work Monday morning the 26th.

Looks like a Thanksgiving delivery. For me as well, best case.

Thanks for the update. Nice just to hear something! Halloween deliveries just became Thanksgiving deliveries. They may yet become Christmas deliveries.

What is your source? Did it cite a reason like lack of parts, etc? Moparinsider had a recent story that the Challenger/Charger plant is shutdown for lack of parts

My source is I’m one of the suppliers and our Gladiator line hasn’t been here since the 15th. Not really sure which part though. The JL line over there has a couple thousand Jeeps that don’t have hardtops and that’s been an issue for around a month. Rumor is that the JL line is going to be shut down for two weeks starting October 3rd so they can fix some of the paint shop issues and hopefully get caught up on missing hardtops.

As much as I want mine now like everyone else........just gives me more time to save money for a larger down payment and more parts.

Life is to good to not find the golden lining in the situation.

Thanks! News from the inside! I wasn’t able to find any articles of a plant shutdown on the internet. Hardtop shortages don’t sound good at all since the majority of the orders have them.

I catch your point there lol.

Thankfully Jeep has had their shit together for the most part.

I mean I could pay for it in cash, but wait waiting on the market and housing to bottom out an then I'll go on spending spree. Assets > liabilities

Yep, all good. I had no meaning behind my comment, just have to try to look at the bright side. Jeep is definitely better off than Ford is with the Bronco. Hearing delays and shutdowns seems to be the new norm in the auto industry, no matter the manufacturer. The good thing is I’m positive we won’t wait 1.5 years for our ordered Gladiators ?

My original estimate for shipping was 10/2. I was expecting to pick up mine near the end of October. I would of had to get it on a Saturday, 4 hrs away, since I teach all week. Now it will be Thanksgiving. I have that week off. Works better for me. I can relax to pick it up and enjoy it for a week off. :like:
Maybe even get my lights, winch and diamondback on.
