Rubicon and Mojave rock rails holding up builds?

I have been bugging my dealer about The Rubicon I ordered in May that I still don’t have a VIN for and they are telling me that spray in bedliner and Mojave and Rubicon rock rails are currently on parts restriction. Has anyone else been told this or is this more smoke from the dealer? For reference this is a Canadian order.

Just for reference, in the last 7 Days, 18 Rubicons were built. In the last 3 days, 3 were built. Possibly its the rails, but you should 100% have a vin by now.

There is something holding up my build. I ordered 8/31 and sitting in D status. I did order both the bed liner and tubular side steps for mine.

There are reports that most Mopar parts are on backorder.

Canada factory orders take far longer than US builds. That's just the reality based on what I've seen here and on the JL sister forum. Some people were waiting 14 months for 2 door JL builds with weird options.

Can you request for them to take those items off the build? People are practically giving away factory Rubicon rock rails and you can get the spray in bedliner done locally after delivery.

They already took off the spray in bedliner but I think the rock rails are apart of the rubicon package that can be removed. I did go onto my dealers website and noticed a 2023 willys gladiator which has the same rock rails and spray in bedliner. I messaged my salesman and basically said WTF. I think I’m getting the ultimate jerk around from them. Which maybe is a sign I want meant to even get a gladiator

My guess for the delay is the spray in bed liner (this takes the jeep to a 3rd party to do) or the safety group (which is no longer available for order on new gladys)

The safety package not being available would make sense. Unfortunately for us Snowpeople we can’t use jeepcares or anything like that to find out information. We only have the dealer and he said the top guy at the dealership reached out to Jeep that that was what he as told(bed liner and rock guards). I’m not sure what to think. They said best case scenario it would be built late dec early Jan. I am doubting they will be honouring my trade in value at that point.

When I ordered my JTRD in 1/22. I couldn't get the bed liner or the head liner with the Rubi.

Something is seriously wrong with your order. You should have gotten a VIN assigned. It obviously got converted to a '23, but still.

Right! I have order New vehicles in the past and always got a VIN right away. The truck I am trading in is a 2021 F-150 that got delayed by covid shutdowns and supply chain shortages and took much longer than the dealer told me but I still had a VIN 3 days after my order was put in. I have said all this to my salesman and he always acts like everything is perfectly normal and I’m some impatient Karen.
