I did a search on the forum and I'm not finding a definite answer in regards to a aftermarket option for stock length max tow rear chromoly axle shafts. I would like to keep my trac lock in the rear as I find it is adequate for my use case. I should be able to custom order some; has someone measured the stock length of the axle shafts?

Edit: Solved. Max tow rear wide track axle shaft length is 33.1”. See attached image for Yukon kit WAK-009.

Go to google and search “stock length of the axle shaft max tow gladiator”. That should give you more than enough to look through for your answer.

Thanks for the suggestion. The one person I spoke with at rcvperformance said it's only offered for the rubicon.

Max Tow and Rubicon axles are the same width, but the axle shafts are different lengths due to the center pin offset in the Rubicon Locker.

I don't have the measurement of the axle shafts here on my desk. Will check to see if we have them written down somewhere.

Interesting. I have a rubicon, and was under the impression that the max tow axles were the same, with the exception of the lockers.

How about this, from Dana? Look at the very bottom of each one for axle shaft lengths:

Learned something new. Love it.

That’s good info, but it doesn’t list specs for the wide axle, non-Rubi.
Looks like they are listed on the lower left corner on that first sheet.

Thanks to @OHJeeper for sharing some good info on axle lengths. The axle shafts are the same length both left and right for a max tow. The Rubicon has one side that is longer. I think the lengths will help people in the future.

I called the dealer with my vin and got the part number and code for my axle shafts. Then, called Yukon sales earlier today and they confirmed they had what I needed. Worst case it will be two weeks to ship.

It specifies trac-loc. Did a search with the info I got from the dealer SKU: 68474094AA (code drf) and got back that @Quadratec posted the 32.30" length in a comment here.
https://www.quadratec.com/p/mopar/axle-shaft-assembly-gladiator-jt-wide-dana-44-rear-68474094AA
Specifying Trac Lok does not help because you can get Trac Lok in both the narrow and wide axles.

If Quadratec is correct and their listing is correct, 32.3" is a good number. But then I wonder what the length is for the narrow axle? Is it the same 32.3"?
