There seems to be something I'm missing....I've told the BCM about the LED front turn and park/marker lamps. Also set DRL location to dedicated and drl config as Optional.

The upper strip turns on with headlights. Turn signal works. They do NOT turn on with headlights off. Anyone know the settings I'm missing?

Anyone with OEM LEDs from the factory. .is this something you activate in the Uconnect....optional setting to turn on in daytime?

Here’s a factory equipped LED JT that you can run a comparison on through WinMerge:

Got them working. One KILLER....I couldn't understand why they wouldn't come on when parked and engine running, headlights off. Found a secret....parking brake has to be off. So chock a wheel, leave in park or out of gear if a manual, and release the parking brake to check function or ask the nearest wife or friend. HAH! They turn right on when parking brake is released.

My original owner manual said that they'd come on if the transmission was in any gear other than neutral or park.
But in reality, they came on even in park.
Book said "the DRLs are active when the headlights are not on". Oh, really? (see pic below)
I was trying to check the wiring harnesses I'd made for my snow plow and was a bit confused at first -and just accepted that they changed their minds or the book was wrong. The later released read differently.

Sitting, idling in PARK, they are on (truck's headlights are taken over by the plow's electronics)

I had no fun doing those today. Ugh. Headlights show up Wedesday and I'm almost done with OEM LED lighting.

@ShadowsPapa my brake handle is literally a switch for the DRLs when headlights are off! Weird.....

Try changing DRL configuration to Canada, maybe they’ll stay on no matter what.
Good option. I think I'm good. I just want it working as it would have if I bought off the lot in San Diego with OEM LEDs and it seems to. Thanks for being the AlfaOBD God Jimmy...you've helped so many of us.

Last time I was in Canada and rented a car, which, admittedly, has been about 5 years ago, the parking brake controlled the DRLs.

That's pretty common for the design now, especially in Canada where the DRL's are required to always be on. The only way to get them to turn off is to apply the parking brake. Someone posted complaining about it because he likes to sit with the truck running to stay warm when hunting, but couldn't get the DRL's to turn off.

That's how my USA truck works but I do have the option in Uconnect to turn them off and that is working too I can report. Thanks again @Jimmy07 for the config from that JT.
