Hello Friends,
I am Sebastian From Germany and i need your Help :)

on my jeep gladiator the complete "defrost" function of the windshield does not work. I get neither cold nor warm air on the windscreen. Also not on a mix setting together with the footwell.
It is a 3.6l petrol engine from 2020.
Does anyone know the problem or has tips or solutions?
Thank you in advance

In Germany nobody can help , sorry for my bad english :)

Your English is better then half of us so no worries. Check your cabin air filter behind Glove box if you have some miles on it then can get blocked. The deforest on the Jeeps is not so great mostly in the middle. Checking fuses to be sure they are pushed in and blower is running is next. Sorry not too much help but perhaps post if the air speed changes and what if you put it on max defrost what happens. No dealer to take it to if not working?
Merry Christmas, others will chime in I am sure…..Jack

Thanks for your answer :)
The blower Motor works perfectly on all steps.
On max. Frost the air speed goes up but there is no air on the windscreen. Only air on the right and left door window comes out.(see in the picture)

Sounds like you'll be needing a visit to the dealership service department for an inspection/repair of the HVAC system. Inside the HVAC system there are typically "doors" that move to change air flow routing and your door may be broke/blocked and not able to move into position for the front window ducting. This is just my guess though.

If you are within your "bumper to bumper" warranty period the fix should be covered under warranty.

you could also drop the windshield down and get a good loom inside to see if it something simple.

Not to hijack the thread, but dang, the Gladiator looks silly with the windshield lowered!

What about the normal facing you settings? Does it come out the main dash outlets? If so, I suspect a fault with the front blend door circuit, actuator or a physical problem with the front blend door.

There is nothing simple about troubleshooting the HVAC and the blend doors. You many need to get like a 3 day subscription to https://www.techauthority.com/ to get the factory diagnostic info. There may be a need also for a bi-directional higher level scan tool.

There is also two different HVAC systems on the Gladiator, a simpler "manual" or a "automatic" one that is more complicated. I suspect going by your picture and you have the base cluster, you probably have the simpler manual one but it is still very much electronically controlled like the automatic one is.

Like @JRobes mentioned, you may still need to find a dealership that can service it or a independent shop that will work it. Where you live, I know that is not readily available but internet stabbing guesses can get expensive if you are not skilled on such things to do yourself.

Is it inoperative using the climate control screen on the radio also?

So the defrost works with the manual controls and NOT the radio.

Maybe an option inside Jscan can reset that? I looked quick and found this, but im on the road so cant dig into it

Could also go to settings in radio, scroll to the bottom, and hit “restore settings to default” and see if that corrects it.
