Sad to see that this is becoming common occurrence. Not even a month into owning the vehicle and just had the front windows tinted. Not worth going through insurance. Called the dealership to see about getting an OEM window but not sure it’s really necessary. Local guy here in San Diego gave a decent quote. Any other local SD suggestions for window repair / tint?

I see some shots with the center console open. Did they take anything of value? Depending on the insurance you carry, glass wouldnt carry a deductible. I suppose if the cost to fix it less than your deductible, then youre on the right track.

Sorry for your troubles.

It's almost like if you decriminalize crime, more crime will happen. This idea seems to be lost on this nation.

Leave the doors off, no need to bust glass.

That sucks ,I can remember back in 1989 walked out of the titty bar to find my driver window broken. They got a $20 radar detector and a pair of sunglasses .
I just started leaving the doors unlocked.
I know your pain.

We’ve had a lot of rain here in the past month or so, not really an option. Plus, I’d prefer to not wake up and walk out to a homeless guy sleeping in my back seat. A guy not to far from me had a brand new 4Runner stolen the other day. Thankfully I keep my keys in a RFID blocking bag and box.

Problem with leaving doors unlocked is it just invites people in. I do get the idea but what if someone that knows what they are doing cases my vehicle and eventually one day my seats are missing, etc. maybe not the best example but where does it end?

Unfortunately, you are right. Not to mention the diminishing police presence that has criminals thinking they are untouchable. No one’s afraid of doing crap like this anymore.

Didn’t take a thing. Glovebox was locked but I did have my entire air compressor kit and a few tools under the backseat since I just had finished installing my ARB air compressor under the passenger seat. Looks like they just wanted to see if I had any cash or goodies laying around in the center console. I’ll call to see if glass doesn’t apply to my deductible. Thanks!

Similar event happened to me. Lived in a safe enough area to feel as though I didnt need to lock my car doors. I still don't as Id rather they take what they want by opening the door and saving me from broken glass aggravation. Anywho, I had someone pillage through my glove box, center console, door pockets, etc. and only take my loose change. They left the radar detector on the windsheild, the GPS in the glovebox (this was a while back haha), among other "valuable" items. Hard to be tied to loose change.
