thanks, I'll try warming everything up. It was only 33 out, but that felt warm compared the day prior which was -8. Had the urge to do something on the Jeep. I did notice the nylon insert could bend slightly but it was tough. I thought maybe my clips tolerances were off.

Oh man, we have some heat today, 50 so I was able to get it installed on lunch, mostly. Did you use the bumpers and if so, place on the hood or deflector? I know it states the hood, which makes sense. Limit them vibrating against the paint. I was just curious if the plastic was strong enough to support itself without them if anyone went that route.

Yeah it's a lot and that's after cleaning them off a couple of hours earlier. I didn't get pics of the larger ones that blocked right in front of the driver seat - 3 big splats, each the size of a quarter or so, blocking areas more than a half dollar size in total.

I've heard about the cicada deal over there. We have them but they aren't like that - they are here every year and man the NOISE in August.
It can get crazy in AZ too. The road sounds like you're driving on bubble wrap too. Sometimes frogs will do the same thing (on the road) That would suck it they were in the air. "frog deflector"

I put mine on the deflector.
I have PPF on the hood, so no worries about the paint.

What did you use and on the whole front edge, or just those spots where the deflector bumpers hit?
I noted on my 2020 there was a slightly different look to the paint there and want to avoid that on this 22.
So far I've put a clear film on the door sills to prevent scuffing there until I decide what to do. Will do that on my wife's Wrangler until we decide or save the money for something on the sills. But for now, when the weather clears and it warms a bit, will use film on her Wrangler door sills too.
(looks like we'll be paying a ton for her medical stuff, PT and such, so some things may have to wait. Medicare sucks.)

I had a flat bug deflector on my YJ, and the newer style on my KJ, LJ, and now on the JT. Can't say if it does any good or not! I've still had cracked windshields (but not on the KJ!) and driving through Florida during love bug season is still loud and messy!
