With those flairs... did you use the screws in the front? I bought a set but I'm hesitant to use those screws.

No I did not, there are 2 extra holes where there are not existing plastic rivets to put the screws in. After I put in the plastic rivets everything seemed tight and lined up well so I did not put the screws in also. Time will tell but seemed fine to me.

Perfect, that's what I was thinking as well.
Thank you

Love our Rokblokz. Everything except the price honestly, but they go on sale once or twice a year. They're quick removable but I keep them on even while wheeling and they do a great job bending around rocks. They're a staple on our jeeps and go on asap to keep mud off the door handles.

Jeep Gladiator I have never been a mud flap type but.... Tent mounted

Just added the full set of Weathertech flaps today. After I finished I ran it through the car wash to see if I would still have the spray on doors. They worked perfectly.

Those with the Weathertec mud flaps….

I’ve been watching install videos….. Do they really only use those plastic clips to mount them? Seems a little ‘lame’ (versus using bolts/screws)

No, for the fronts there is a nut/bolt that uses an existing hole on the bottom of the fender/body and then inside the flair there’s at least 1 screw with a J nut that replaces the existing plastic rivets (maybe 2? Can’t rememeber) then any remaining holes get plastic rivets/push pins like factory.

For the rears it’s the same thing, mix of screws w/j-nuts and plastic rivets.

I honestly think the connections are strong enough that if they got snagged on something it would rip the flare off (also why I’m glad they used screws at all major points because they’re easy to remove)

Same, first “mod” I did was to put on flare extenders and mud flaps.
the thought of a rock slinging up and scratching everything up was not a good one lol.
Off road I could live with but driving to work I’d be pissed lol

The ones I just installed had a single plastic retainer and three bolts and clips on the front with a single nut and bolt. The rear had three nuts and bolts.

Nothing cheap or flimsy about the WeatherTech flaps.

They used to make a variant that had a cutout just for the RubiRails but now the Rubicon fitment also has a wider indent for the Mopar step. Lame.

I guess you could surf around asking if anyone still carries New Old Stock ... good luck because I bought mine from WeatherTech and asked that question and the lady who'd been working there for over a decade said there was no way to check for that. She was very helpful and I have better things to do with my life than waste hours finding a Unicorn.

Thanks Gang,
I don't know WTF videos I was watching before, but they were obviously the wrong ones!!

Weathertech Instructions
INS_0820-01 2020 Jeep Wrangler_Gladiator Front Mud Flap revision 67MF646

and finally found this video...
I watched that one as well. I was wondering what they were doing once I started putting mine on.
The back flaps were a bit tricky to put on. Just lining up the nut with hole and getting it started with only one finger on the nut was a pain. This was on a Rubi so it may different on the regular fenders.

OMG, I saw this one and another one on-par with it (guy working in a driveway with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth) I was like ruh-roh … not a good advertisement for WeatherTech
