Another plug for the weathertech flaps. I put them on in the first week, love em.

They’re easy to remove too if you were worried about them getting ripped off on the trail.

I have the WTechs sitting in my garage waiting on my lazy ass to install. But first I need to install geo brackets and don't want them get in the way. Your photos answered my question on how I could install the flares with the WT mud flaps. Doesn't look bad at all. I live off a long gravel county road and our driveway is a little over a quarter mile long. My JTR is never clean.

Before I installed mine it liked to sling crap up on the door handles, that was my motivation, didn’t care for having to wipe my hands off to drive lol. Might have been a quirk of the mud tires, idk.

Mine gets mud all over the doors, door handles and mirrors. Hate it.

I agree …. I still don’t have mud flaps on my 2011 JKUR but just installed fender flare extenders and WeatherTech mud flaps today.

I noticed on your rear flares you put your WeatherTech flaps over your flairs (like your front). Can I get a side view of that? My WeatherTechs came up a bit over my stock fenders and I didn't think it would work well putting the WeatherTechs on top of the Flairs because of that reason on the rear. So my fronts I have like yours, but in the back I put on the WeatherTechs first and then the flairs over them.

I was just wondering what it looked like from the side view close up, thanks!

I'm also a fan of the weather tech flaps.

I have never had mud flaps on my vehicles but I live on a unpaved, poorly maintained township road. Every time I would clean my Gladiator and leave the driveway it would throw mud up the side, so I decided to do something. I put on the weathertech mud flaps and fender flairs both. I will get used to the look, I am starting to already.

I am hoping I don't lose them on our camp road lol, there is about 2' of water we cross and when you break through that ice in the winter it can be nasty. Time will tell I guess

Looks like a good setup. Up here (Alaska) I have to deal with gravel roads and wet traction sand. Are the flairs from WeatherTech? I couldn't find them on their web site.

No they are not, I got those off of Amazon. I wish weatherTech made a set Flairs that fit well with the Mud Flaps, the fronts were good, the backs worked fine, but didn't fit together quite as well,

These are not pretty but they work well and are really tough. Made them myself in the garage.

I can’t take another pic for a few days but here’s a color adjusted upload.

Interesting you ask about how I layered the rear extender and mud flap because during installation I was disappointed that the front extenders don’t go all the way to the end of the flare, like the rear extender.

I really like how the rear extenders complete the entire length of flare profile and so I toyed with the idea of tucking the front extenders in front of the mud flap and then taking a razor knife and shaving the width of the front extenders to taper to the width of the mud flap

I put the weathertec flaps on my Gladiator and it helps tremendously to keep so much mud off the we truck, also cuts down on paint chips.
I know some believe all that mud is a badge of honor but I hate cleaning it off afterwards. I went on a very muddy trail with 46 other Jeeps last weekend and it was a mess to clean off even with the flaps but my truck was not half as dirty as rhe ones without flaps and especially those without fenders.

Shut it down, folks! A definitive statement has been proclaimed! 🤣
No ... He's right ... I woke up today and decided it was all a terrible idea.
I also hate my slush mats and my bed liner. In fact, windshield wipers are for wussies!
