Has anyone installed their “Bestop Supertop for truck 2 Tonneau cover?” Wow what a mouthful just saying the name is a full sentence. This is the tonneau cover that fits the “Bestop Supertop for truck 2” (Seriously, can we get a new name for this thing?) rails.
Anyway, I bought it and the tonneau cover together. The tonneau cover doesn’t attach great on the corners. There is no way that I can tell to attach the corner pieces. Can someone tell me if I’m doing it wrong? Please I only want advice from those that have done it. I figure that there would be plastic pieces that would clamp the corners down but those don’t work. They are big white pieces of plastic that seem to be more for protection.

Sorry I have not done it, but since no one else replied to you I'll share this... I'm pretty sure the tabs slide up into the grooves:

Thanks for the reply. I thought that too but no, those tabs are way too long and flimsy they don't fit. I think they are to protect it from rubbing on the rail. I'm not sure what they are for but they definitely don't fit in the grooves. See the black plastic part next to the white part? Those are what fit inside the grooves see how much shorter they are and thicker?

I spoke with Bestop's customer service and they said they are aware of the issue, currently working on a solution and when they fix the issue they will send me a new one for free. Which is pretty awesome of them. However, who knows when that will happen?

My Review:
As far as using it I think it's okay definitely hate the corners sticking up but they are fixing it.

Pros:
-Works with Bestop Supertop for truck 2 rails.
-It stays in place at high speeds.
-I have the Twill fabric and it is very nice.

Cons:
-Corners stick up (they are actively working on this issue)

-Does Not roll up easily: it would be nice if I could take off the back crossbar and roll it in that, but you can't because you have to remove the fabric from the crossbar to remove the crossbar. So you are left with a flimsy piece of fabric that is hard to roll up.

- Doesn't work with Supertop installed: It would be nice to be able to keep the tonneau cover rolled up when using the Supertop and vise versa. Use the tonneau cover with the folded supertop underneath it.

I just wanted to give an update. @Bestop still hasn't made this right after a year. They said they are working on fixing the problem but that was clearly a lie. They are still selling the same tonneau cover on their site.

Any updates on this? I love my SuperTop function for camping and hunting but I’d like to run a tonneau sometimes. Was waiting for reviews of a fix.

I have heard nothing... Sorry. It's a pain in the butt to roll up as well. Honestly I prefer the Supertop for winter and I think I will just get a hard trifold for summer and switch out the rails every season. Which is exactly what I did not want to do. I wonder if the black diamond material would be better for the tonneau, (definitely not better for the Supertop) because it seems to be a little more stretchy maybe that will help but maybe it will come loose I don't know but either way I would skip it because it is not easy to roll up.

Just want to give another update! Still no word from @Bestop so honestly please don’t buy this combo it was a nice thought in theory but it has been more of a pain in the ass than anything. This has been compounded by the customer service or lack there of.

Thanks lesson learned. When @Bestop says they will contact you for an issue they are “working on” don’t trust them just return the item and tell them when the issue is fixed you will then buy the product.

Ugghhh. I’ve had pretty good experience with @Bestop in the past. Sorry to hear they didn’t make this right. Glad I didn’t buy one

I thought the Plastic pieces fit over the corners like pockets wit the ink parts going under the rails, I had it installed that way and it looked horrible, I realized however the the plastic is a stiffener that makes the material conform to the shape of the corner and and does not snap into anything. Once I installed it correctly it fits pretty well I think stretching then a bit like I did may have made them work a bit better. Overall The corners seem like a weak point bit i honestly haven’t used the tonneau very much the instructions are also not much help tue are a bit as vague as they could be and still be called directions.
