Mine came with it because that's the way I ordered it, so it's factory. Still looks great and keeps things dry when closed. Don't do anything special except the occasional car wash.

As the title states, life's thrown me curve balls so I've been MIA from the forum for a bit but want to ping the great minds on here!

I've got a tri-fold cover which is nice but when I toss the mountain bikes in the back over the tailgate pad, the rear tire pushes into the cover. When I take my kayaks out, I usually have to remove the tri-fold because stacked on top, they won't fit. So, I've been contemplating a rollup cover. Between Bestop and Mopar, I think the Mopar looks better but like the twill-like material for both. It's just hard to justify the price on the Mopar one when Bestop is almost half less. So -- with that, if you have the Mopar what are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
Love it. Had it on my 2020 and put 27,000 miles on that truck and traded it for a 2022. Have over 10,000 miles on it and love the cover again.
No leaks, it stays put, just zero issues.
Also like when camping that I can take out 2 screws and carry the cover off and put my truck tent up in the bed. When done, remove the tent, set the cover in place, install the two screws - done.
I've pressure washed the trucks, had it through a derecho with rain being driven by over 70 mph winds, it's just never leaked or had any issues.

And THAT is one of the many benies I'm looking at as well -- removing it for the truck tent! I've only test fit the tent but it's the only tent I have now and, well, since it's getting hotter, might need to wait til fall to really try it out.

Thanks all for the input. And now we wait for that person on OfferUp or Marketplace to toss one up that won't get me in the doghouse!

Plenty of support here but Ill dog pile. I got my MOPAR roll up used from a fella who got it with his launch edition. Keeping that in mind my cover is nearly as old as possible and is a good barometer for longevity. I keep my tonneau on %99 of the year, only coming off when I need to put my bestop topper on for camping. I go through automatic car washes, both with and without brushes, once a month. I keep it onn all season through the winter even with heavy snow.

I have had ZERO issues with it. Not one single problem the entire time I have owned it. I cant say that about many things that I have...IF this cover ever ripped Id immediately replace it.

Its not perfectly taught like a trifold or leather cover, but i didnt expect it to be. it looks good to this day and serves its purpose.

Cover laying on the front of my car hauler - making tent setup a lot easier/nicer.
Two torx screws. Takes only 2 or 3 minutes.
Roll up cover, use straps to secure it rolled, take out screws, lift cover right off.

Depending on your cover and tent you dont have to remove the cover.
My <$130 Odero cover rolls up pretty tight and fits under the Napier full floor tent just fine.
I never remove it.

Everyone has different preference, but my truck bed gets filthy if I am bringing a bike or kayaks into management areas.
I MUCH prefer a full floor tent so I don't have to sleep/have my stuff in the dust/dirt or possibly mud/muck.
Feel better about keeping bugs out of a sealed unit tent too.
I also dont camp alone so the bed is full of mattress and bedding, the bed pretty much has to be cleared anyway.

Well, scored a Mopar rollup on offerup for $200 and sold my Tyger trifold for $100 the same day. So looks like I'm rocking and rolling. Digging it so far but it looks like one of the straps is fraying...the ones going front to back...I don't particularly know what they do and I didn't dork with it too much this weekend due to rain but ended up buying 10 yards of HD 1" nylon strap material to see if I can either replace it, reinforce it, or something. If all else fails, I'd take it to an autoupholstery shop as I'm sure it wouldn't be more than $100 or so to fix.

Thanks all for the advice/tips.

We have a 2020 LE that came with the roll up cover. Had it on about a year, waiting for an RSI SmartCap to arrive. It was great that whole time. Functional and looks nice. Takes up minimal space when rolled up.

We installed it on our 2023, until I could get the GFC Topper installed. Now it's back in storage for the next "call up". :)

I just picked one up a basically brand new one this past week from a 2022 off of marketplace and I'm really happy with it. I really don't like the look of the velcro and what not that the aftermarkets use to secure the sides and I'm not a fan of the room the tri-folds still take up when folded, so I was only interested in the factory roll up cover.

I'm glad I held out though as the fit and finish is great on these. The material is almost identical to my other convertible and I already have a bunch of convertible top cleaners, protectors, and brushes to keep it looking great. My only complaint at the moment is when I was washing it, more water than I expected got in the in bed from the front and the rear. I wasn't sure if this was just because I was using a hose with high pressure and from different angles, but we had a thunderstorm roll through two days later and I had about equal amount of water in the bed.

From what I've read these tops do a pretty good job of keeping the water out, so I'm not sure what's going on with mine as the seals all seem to be in great shape and they make decent contact with the bed. Does anyone else have this issue with water?

My straps did the same thing and just fell apart about a year ago. I just cut them off, like you not sure what they did but I have not had any problems without them, no sagging or flapping they might have been there to assist in rolling the cover evenly but I see no reason to replace them

No mine doesn’t leak at all might want to recheck where it mounts at the header

Hmmm...Interesting. We'll see what happens. Everythining else seems solid and like @steveorama mentioned, I noticed some water after the rains this weekend though I also installed in during a break in weather so I'll poke at it again soon and see where it might be getting in. Not worried though in the least at this point.

Yeah it's a bit weird considering the alignment pin and the bolts line up on the header only in one position. There's not really anyway to move it more forward or back, etc. I do have the factory spray in bed liner though so maybe that's an issue, I don't know.

Other than the leaking I love it so far. I'm a little disappointed though since I was hoping to have a relatively dry area for when we go on trips and the luggage and what not could stay dry. I haven't had a cover in the almost 2 years I've owned it though so it's not like it's changing my life very much by the bed getting wet. It's just frustrating that it's letting in as much water as it does. It doesn't seem like others have reported it being an issue though. So I'm not sure what the fix is. I honestly haven't tested it in rain while driving though, just sitting in the driveway both times and the driveway is at a bit of incline. The top still had some pools of water on it after the thunderstorm.

I bought my Rubicon used, and it came with the factory roll up cover. I prefer the twill material to the shiny vinyl offered in many of the aftermarket covers, and I’m amazed at how well is sheds water. I’ve had the bed loaded with luggage and gear in some heavy New England thunderstorms, and everything stayed dry. It rolls up quickly, and fits well. I can remove the entire thing easily in just a minute or two as well. Recommended.
