Dang I cut too much installing my snorkel!!

That didn't turn out too bad. You sure that's aluminum? Looks like galvanized steel.

Can I ask why you went that route versus buying the AMFIB Snorkel offered by Rugged Ridge? No modification needed and serves the same function. Install time was about 90m taking my time. I like how much more noticeable yours is but it’s pretty daring to cut like that.. nice work. EDIT:: I think I just figured out why.. my kit doesn’t fit a diesel.

Main reason was to keep my light bar. The side mount are not compatible with the way those install. I also have the Voswitch set up and the control box is mounted about the battery. I’d have to reroute everything for that and not worth the hassle.

Steel is a good choice as long as you painted the back and the drill holes.
