Prime day is a scam. They inflate the original price to look like you are getting a bigger discount. Most things are just the normal everyday Amazon price.
it depends on what it is. I have been following some things for a couple of weeks, making mental notes on the price from days before and so on - some things are a bargain. some things were put in sale a few days ago and the price is still the exact same price.
Too bad I already bought a new laptop (my HP was frying and bulging in the middle) as otherwise the laptops I had looked at on Amazon when I bought this one are now a lot cheaper. So I could have saved money on that. Amazon knows what I had looked at and sent me notice - hey this is on sale now - too late, already bought locally (for more money)

Easy, nothing.

Between the Warn winch deal & Diode Dynamics deals.........that was almost $1600 last week.

I'm good for the month. Not only that Prime Days in the past has just been a bunch of shit they want to move cheap......nothing I need/want

You also need to study the model numbers on the electronics. They usually sell special stripped down models on black friday, prime day, etc. but advertise them as the regular models. All the major retailers do it.

That's one thing I was watching while comparing - most of the ones I was looking at were "upgraded" by the seller. Hmmmm, normally come with 16 gig ram, 512gig SSD, but the one they were selling had 32 gig and 2T of storage. Looked at the fine print. Nope, I want a factory sealed package, not something someone has stuck stuff into. That's one reason I passed. They did have some that were stock factory packages, but you had to really look closely and carefully to sort them out. Watch the exact processor model and rev - is is a i7 12 or 13 ? Of course in the stores, you have to watch that, too. If you saw one on sale - it was likely the old rev processor and not the current rev. So I told the guy in the store I wasn't interested in anything that had the word clearance, or that had a sale price without an end date.
Gotta be careful.

That's why I only buy my computers directly from the manufacturers. You get exactly what you need with none of the bloatware. Sometimes I can even get them to drop Windows for another discount.

Also need to watch models that are made for sale in a specific store - sort of like tools or other electronics. Sometimes you can tell where something was sold by the model number - this was sold only at Walmart, or this was sold only at Home Depot, and so on.
I don't like store specific models.

I retired from government IT. I helped build the desktop images, spec'd the computers, built servers, maintained systems, network security, routers, switches, VPN gateway, firewalls, whatever. (Before that, I did similar for Principal Financial Group for a while, too)

Retired from that shit - don't want to live it while retired. I'm into my cars and restorations again.
Now when someone asks "can you help with my PC" I say "no". (I can, but won't)

Replacing the floor mats as the Weathertech mats are rolling up on the edges in the backseat. Any suggestions on which to buy but I'm leaning towards the MOPAR Jeep logo mats ($150). I just purchased the Gladiator this past week after selling my 2016 Jeep Wrangler.

or just replace the backseat and save $60

I like the Mopar mats I bought through Amazon.
