I am looking to pick up a rack for my Gladiator in the next couple days. There are a couple used ones available in my area, but wanted to get some advice before I pull the trigger. One is an RCI 18" rack, and the other is a Fishbone half rack. Both are in good condition, and they are the same price. I have a tonneau cover, and would be looking at grabbing a set of tonneau adapters, probably from RCI since I cant seem to find anyone else with them currently. I am not super interested in mounting a RTT as I have a trailer that I tow for camping. But, that isn't out of the question for future adventures, but not a current consideration. I mainly want the rack to mount two kayaks, and to pile more stuff in the bed when camping without the need for a canopy. Possibly will mount more things to the rack in the future, but I am not sure. I know the full height rack will put the kayaks up above the roof line, which is nice, but I am afraid with the tonneau brackets it may be TOO high. I'm wondering if the half height rack with adapters might be the better way to go? Also any experience with the two racks is apricated as well!
