I know this is still quite a while away, but my Dad, son, and I just booked a airbnb in pigeon forge. August 23rd-26th. We plan on going to the Jeep show Thursday or Friday. We would also like to drive over to wind rock to do the badge of honor trails. So if anyone on here is heading to the show and would like to meet up at Windrock Thursday or Friday we could probably get a nice group to go.

On a side note we planned a week trip to Pigeon forge/Gatlinburg June 24th-29th. My wife wanted to go to wind rock a day that week as well, so if anyone is interested in that too let me know.

I'll be there again this year. I went to Windrock last year and realized I've made my Jeep too pretty to get all messed up!
It would prob look even prettier with mud and dirt on it hahaha. If you change your mind let me know!

Still undecided on making the trip this year. I may go ahead and book a place.

Been to Windrock twice now and the Badge of Honor trails are good but spread out to hit all in one day.

My thought was to knock out panther rock and 26 when I go with my family in June for sure. Then 16 for the show if anyone wanted to.

I'll be at Invasion this year considering I missed last year. Think I may roll out the last day though. I'm sure I can hang and see everything I want in the first two days.

Done Windrock twice last year although trail 16 and I have unfinished business. Got some awesome pics from my last trip and had a blast. But I'll probably just stick to the show.

If you decide you wanna end up going to wind rock let me know! I’m down for any trail not particularly 16 figured I would have a better chance of doing 16 with more people at the show! But if you want to finish the unfinished business haha.

I’ll be there for the week. Not really sure which day I’ll be available for wheeling yet?
I don’t know much about wind rock. Do you have to plan ahead? Reserve a spot? I’ll do some more research.

I don’t know anything bout wind rock to be honest. Was on their website, but doesn’t give to much info. So I was going to call one day this week.

You just have to buy a trail pass at Windrock. Everybody in the vehicle has to have their own pass.

Trail 16 will take most of the day depending on group size. There is a bad hill climb right after the ledge when I was there last summer.

I also suggest paying for the app maps. Much easier than the huge paper map.

My son and I took road trip to Windrock in 2021. We were defeated by 51 (as rookies) and we need redemption! lol I'm down for a road trip in June.

I'll be in Pigeon Forge for a last minute trip, so I searched the forum for Smoky Mountain. Lo and behold, there's a Jeep Invasion the very week I'm there.

Haven't even taken my stock Mojave offroad yet, and it's my first 4x4. Are there some good beginner trails in the area? I didn't want my first foray to be solo, but also didn't expect it to be Invasion packed. Puts the pressure on to not slow down the pack.

There’s a trail that opened up in the last year or so, that heads out of Cade’s Cove. The starting point is fairly close to the gift shop, and the one-way trail puts you out on some super curvy highway ( tail of the dragon ).

edit : parsons branch road

edit2 : with a Mojave, the ride smooths out if you go a tad faster than most vehicles. Be safe; you probably won’t be the slowest.
