40K on my 2021 Rubi nothing to serious. They replaced a spring because the silencer was coming off. its glued on so they had to replace the entire spring. The deal replaced a rear output shaft seal but that was like at 5k miles. No issue since. I have a blown shock but Jeep cannot get FOX shocks anymore So they are looking at, hopefully, replacing all with Bilstein or what ever is on the 2024 Rubicon either way i need 1 shock LOL

I say this every single time one of these threads pops up on ANY brand's forum:

Most people come to forums only when they're having trouble and looking for guidance. For every person posting about problems on this site, there are 100 people driving around enjoying their vehicles without any issues.

Forums have a tendency to blow issues out of perspective because all we see are the issues over and over again.

4 months, 4,000 miles.

My plan right now is to keep this Jeep for many years and I don't expect every single part in it to last forever. I'll do whatever preventive maintenance or repairs I need to do to keep it going. This forum is a good place to keep in touch with what's going on in the Jeep world and to see what kind of potential issues could arise.

I still have my 1999 Chevy S10 with 399,000 miles on it as my commuter beater. The engine still runs really good but occasionally I have to repair or replace parts from the support systems around it. I'm hoping to get another 100k before I have to retire it for good. If I can do the same with my Mojave that will be great but I'm not expecting to need 400k miles from it.

I think that's true for a lot of cars... like maybe the Nissan Sentra forum... but true not for the Wrangler and Gladiator. Jeeps are very different vehicles that are typically heavily modified and used in very different ways than your average car/truck. TONS of people come here daily to talk about various modifications and to look at other people's Jeeps for ideas, talk about upcoming models, the company as a whole, trips/rides/trails they've done, etc. - not just to find solutions to problems (though there is admittedly plenty of that too - these are Jeeps after all).

But I do agree that for every person who is having a problem - there are LOTS more who aren't and never will. For example, if you go by the posts on here, you've think that most of the 3.6 Pentastar engines have the valve rocker/cam problem when it's really only a single digit percentage of the over 15 MILLION of them that have been produced so far.

Take that down farther - you are talking about a fraction of a single digit of a percent of all 3.6 Pentastar engines.
A while back I did some "what-if" figuring and came up with numbers down in the hundredths of a percent of all Pentastars.
But again - you have to figure ONLY those made from 2015 forward because the cam issues are not with exhaust cams but with intake cams and these intake cams were introduced in the 2016 model year.
So we can't count all 15 million, ONLY those made from 2015 forward. But it's still a fraction of a percent.
The 3.6 made prior to the upgrade version can't be counted.
When people talk of intake cams, intake followers, lash adjusters and so on, it's ONLY 2016 model year forward. That means not 15 million, but less than that number.
The engine is your Gladiator is NOT the same 3.6 that was in a Wrangler up before about 2018 for example. Wrangler didn't get this engine until very recently.

That's why that law suite out there is a bunch of crap because they are lumping all Pentastar engines together. They say the same problems have existed since 2011. That's not true.
You can't put a 2020 intake cam in a 2017 Wrangler. Different engines.

I really don't know why people say that this engine has been around for that many years. It hasn't.
The current Pentastar isn't the same as the version in the middle of the last decade.
So how about figuring how many first gen 3.6 engines were made vs. how many PUG 3.6 engines were made.
When it comes to valve train issues - they are extremely different engines.

So, when we talk about Gladiator and 2018+ Wrangler valve train problems, we have to consider only engines made in the last few years. That's a lot less than 15 million.
Wrangler didn't get THIS Pentastar engine until about 2018. For Grand Cherokee, it was 2016 model year.

I have a 1st Gen Pentastar in my 12 JK and a second gen Pentastar in my 17 WK2. Both have been flawless as far as the internals go. This is why I'm not worried about the Pentastar in my Gladiator.

I keep up with the recommended maintenance, run the recommended oil and change it when due. Both my JK and WK2 have over 100K miles on them.

Same here......... sometimes I change early if it's convenient, it's often a matter of timing with other things around here. Never late, though. There's times that we have something planned, or I have a trip planned, so do maintenance a bit early so as to not be late due to the other events.

If the Grand Cherokee had come in purple, she'd still have one - likely with a 3.6 like her others.
We'd have gotten a JLU with 3.6 except we were not able to find any with the 3.6 in reign.
A little shy about the turbo 2.0 but there's a ton of those around, too.

We had a member who put over 100K miles on his vehicle in the first 18 months he had it. No major issues! Like a lot of people who put that type of mileage on, he was religious on the maintenance, and stated all was good. Even the clutch survived the first 100K. He posted a review of the truck when it hit 100K.

Because it IS the same engine. Yes, it has been revised/improved over it's lifetime as issues have been identified and addressed... but I think it IS correct to say that over 15 million of them have been produced. Obviously the more recent ones have all of the revisions and should be the most reliable, but it's still the same "Pentastar" engine.

26 months, 36,000 miles. Had a trans cooler leak around 30,000 miles. Fixed under warranty other than that no issues. Great truck!
40k on it. Purchased Sept. 1 2019. No issues worth mentioning other than a couple software gremlins early on. Long time since any problems. Love the thing, Still makes me smile every time I drive it.
