They aren't making them either... (assuming the strike is in effect)

I stopped reading there a bit ago for a few reasons. They come across as people that would prefer a Tacoma (or a Corolla more likely).

Well if you look at market share, most people prefer Tacos and Corollas

I’ve owned two Tacomas. Most uncomfortable vehicles I have ever owned. Seat is bolted almost directly to the floor so you drive with your legs almost straight out. When I traded one of them in, the salesman sent me a message saying how could anyone ever drive this thing for any length of time. To each his own but I’ll stick with my Jeeps.

Well if you look at the sky during the day, it's blue.

A Jeep has a different appeal and priorities than a Corolla.

I am very happy with my Mojave for everything but heavy towing, and use my Ram 3500 diesel for that.

To be honest... if I could have gotten one of the new 2024 Tacomas with the hybrid setup, I probably would have. BUT... the price was right on my JT (the 15% discount plus another $10k off at the dealer), and I am SUPER happy with this thing. I love everything about it.

I've seen posts by others here that they think their JT rides poorly. My Willys rides great for what it is. But my other vehicles are a 2005 Dodge dually on 19.5's which rides like a BRICK and a 2002 WJ with a 3" and 31's that is decent, but I'm unimpressed with its Bilstein 5100's. Still, it's lightyears ahead of my Dodge.

Now.. Jalopnik. Don't get me started. That site isn't an automotive enthusiast site. It's a political agenda masquerading as a "car blog" and is staffed by kids that have no business writing anything that requires actual knowledge or skill. The real car mags -- Car & Driver et all only hire writers with actual engineering degrees and many of whom actually worked for car manufacturers. So their opinions are based on fact and not feelings.

Where I am right now in western Nevada, I see a crapton of Gladiators all over town. They're EVERYWHERE. Maybe almost as many as Tacomas. I'll have to pay more attention to Tacomas when I'm out and about.

The best way to sum up the JT compared to other trucks and why others may prefer other trucks is the sticker I see from time to time: "It's a Jeep thing; you wouldn't understand."
