My American Adventure Labs fender liner nightmare continues with my Dzus fasteners now beginning to fail. Does anyone know where you can get replacements and what size they are? I’ve seen Dzus fasteners sized in at least 4 different ways or by series. AAL has them on backorder and I don’t need 10 of them anyway. They also don’t respond to emails nor their online chat. Sat in queue position 1 for 20 minutes on estimated 5 minute wait time. My next step is to call them for the specs.

Sounds like @AmericanAdventureLabs customer service is in the toilet. Thanks for letting me know to shop elsewhere. Good luck finding the part you need.

The correct way to measure the length or grip of a Quarter Turn Fasteners or Dzus Fasteners is to measure from under the head of the fastener to the bottom of the spring locking area. Flush Head and Self-Ejecting Quarter Turn Fasteners are measured from the top of the head to the bottom of the spring locking area. Then look at circle track race car parts in your area. They should be able to get what you need [if not have in stock!]

I’m not sure of that yet. I’m going to give them another day or so to respond to my inquiry before I pass judgement. I’m not happy with the design of the liners. They have some fundamental flaws. It’s generally a really bad idea to have a rigid object connect to both the body and the frame. It’s a recipe for all of the issues I’ve had.

When you say bottom of the spring locking area, do you mean the bottom closest to the head or closer to the tip? By top of the head, wouldn’t they be measured from the underside surface of the head so that the thickness of the head doesn’t contribute to the critical distance between the contact surface of the head and the groove in the shaft?

The other issue I’m having a lot of places online, including those that sell these for race cars, don’t include measurements. They sell them based on series, I.e., Series 4, Series 400, etc.

They just responded to my email. Let not write off their customer service yet. And they told me that they use 7/16 by 1/2 Dzus fasteners. I’m gonna send them some pics of my fasteners and the liners.
