Trimming OEM fenders is just like slim chopped fronts. You remove all the factory inner liner, inner support plastics and the outer trim edge comes off too. Then you take a blade and cut tabs off.... leaving you with a slim outer fender. You can run as is but slim chopping the fender is the bonus.

Really appreciate the write up and pics... chopping the fenders is on my "to do" list, but I'll probably wait a few months until the weather warms up here on the East Coast. Perhaps RR will have matching fronts by then. Not all front fender liners fit the Mojave, so I've been keeping a keen eye out.

The turn signal/fender chop bracket is a good look - which ones are you running?

Thanks!

Im running Quake front slim chops. The Artec front liners i have did not fit mojaves. They claimed they had no issues. I sent them numerous pictures .... they now have specific front liners for mojaves ?‍♂. I forgot I had to do that actually, so yeah make sure you have tools to cut aluminum. But if theyre plastic itll be easy.

Joined the club today. Have had these sitting in the garage for a while now, finally got around to installing. I went and made some changes, because I am clinically incapable of not screwing with things, but they worked out well.

1) On test fit, I actually didnt have to move the charcoal canister for the drivers side to fit, BUT I did have to screw with my bedside molle panel - One of the rivnuts from the Rough Country bedside molle panel was sticking out too far for the Rugged Ridge liner to fit properly. Of course, the button head fastener provided by RC stripped out when I tried to remove it, but thats my own fault for not replacing them before I installed the molle panel (MOMMA SAID BUTTON HEADS IS THE DEVIL).

I ended up hacking off the rivnut and then running a shorter M6 (16mm, if anyone cares) through the existing hole with a locknut and that cleared the liner just fine. I rattled canned it as I mucked up the paint a bit grinding & cutting - I dont want to make anyone uncomfortable by showcasing my top notch painting skills, just eat your wheaties and youll be this good someday.

2) I replaced the button head fasteners with hex heads because the only thing worse than commies is button heads.

3) I didnt want to remove the OEM outer fender braces / inner piece so I hacked off a few of the flanges to allow for fasteners to be secured.

Lastly, I installed my rock lights to the fenders before I installed them, so I wouldnt have to yank them out again later. I dont have time this weekend to do the full install on the lights, so I sealed the business end of the harness with heat shrink and tucked / zip tied them in a spot that keeps them behind the fender but can be accessed without a headache.

Finishing touch will be to order some fir tree clips to plug the holes in the trim where the plastic rivets used to be, theyre bugging me.

Looks good… I have these sitting in my room waiting for my fender chop lights to get here… then I’m doing a full fender chop with these.

Got my rear liners in… definitely solid pieces. Had to do a little chopping for my rear antirock but they are holding up super nice.

Ps I know bad pictures.

You will not need to. But you will want to.
