I hope you didn't buy them from the dealer. There's cheaper ones on Amazon.I picked these up because the dealer recommended protecting the hinges.
They don’t seem to have a snug fit. Will the tape hold? The smaller peice doesn’t have tape at all.
I’m going to clean the wax off with dish soap.![]()
Rock chips. I've got several on the leading edge of most of the hinges. I've been thinking about doing this too but can't find any that aren't super obvious. I hate the way they look but want to protect them. I can't find any that are snug and thin. (think minimalist cell phone case)What are they supposed to be protecting the hinges from? I'm not seeing anything damaging my hinges.
Too much poke? Add fender extensions or get wheels that fit properly.Rock chips. I've got several on the leading edge of most of the hinges. Nope, bought it with stockers and they were chipped up before I installed the wheels and tires. I have more poke now, so I've got more reason to cover themToo much poke? Add fender extensions or get wheels that fit properly.

Agreed, but I'm fighting with myself over the "old man" status that full length running boards and mud flaps brings.... And then there's the whole ripping them off on the trail problem...Mud flaps.
Helicopter tape??????????I put helicopter tape on my hinge leading edges. Also under the hinges where the ratchet could screw up the paint when removing the doors.
