Simple crossbars for spare tire?

I am looking for an in bed spare tire solution that would work with a Softopper. I use my bed quite a bit so I was hoping to find a solution that holds the spare tire horizontally above the bed rails. The Motobilt cargo rack would work if it didn’t have rails on the rack. KBVoodoo crossbars don’t seem to have a spare tire mounting option but otherwise seem like it would work. The adjustable DV8 in the up position would work but don’t need the complexity or loss of rails on the front of the bed.

I have looked everywhere but nothing is coming up. Anyone else find a similar solution?

It is a 37x12.5 spare tire. I can squeeze it in there now but it rubs the track bar a bit. I had it there for a few thousand miles already but left it off after the tire rotation. I have a Metalcloak rear track bar, however, it is the straight version as they came out with the bent one shortly afterwards. I am just considering options.

If I keep it under the truck then Ill need a bent track bar and smooth the frame a bit where the tire rests...there are some sharp edges there that have worn and rubbed the sidewall more than I would like in the short period of time it was there.

The Motobilt bobbed bed tire carrier mounted to the stock bed. You can drill holes through the top bed rail to mount it or weld on brackets to attach to the stock trail rails.

This looks great and well done adapting it to the factory bed! I am not sure it would work for my situation but this may be the closest readily available option. Thanks for sharing!

This isn’t mine but one that the photos were sent to me. It will work if you drill holes through the top of the bed rail or do like this one and weld on tabs to allow it to be mounted to the trail rails.
