23 Gladiator Rubicon. Tires are Load range D. Rubbing inner fender a bit at full lock.
OEM 7.5 wheels. No added weight.

I've reviewed all the information online before purchasing the tires, and it appears that everything with 315/70/17 and a Rubicon doesn't cause rubbing. So, why am I experiencing rubbing? Could it be due to the range D? It's not a major problem, but I'm genuinely curious about this.

Thank you!

Yes, they rub. Drill a 1/4” hole in the liner and put a zip tie through it. You don’t have to pull it tight, just a half inch or so and done. Did that to my 2020 Rubicon 50K miles ago.

They might rub control arms at full lock, with some flex. You will be fine but are at the edge- some people rub, some don’t. It is a question of tolerances etc. and you are at that line.
If anything the D helps keep the sidewalls more straight because they are stronger.

Thank you! Now I got it. At least I am not alone. Is it ok if I just ignore it? Will the rubbing cause any issues in the future?

I just did this after my last trip LOL. The right front tire was grabbing the plastic liner.
At full lock? Mine is the left tire but the right tire seems fine, how weird.

It 'could' eventually grab the liner and rip it off.
I have Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's (315/70R17) with more aggressive side-tread and do some crawling where I am at full flex with sway bar disconnect and it was worth the 5 minutes to tie back both sides a little. Yes, I still rub the control arm. This tire size is the edge, some clear some don't.

Ok good to know. Does it rub your lower control arm when the swaybar is disconnected? Or just at the full lock? I wanna make sure mine does not rub the control arm... How can I tell if it rubs? I checked it yesterday. It seems like only the inner rear part of the tire rubs the fender when at full lock but did not really pay attenetion on control arms. Man I am a bit worried lol.

I have 37x12.50x17 BFG KO2's on stock 7.5 Mojave Wheels, on a stock 2023 Mojave.

I also rub on only the driver side fender liner. I trimmed the bottom with a dremel cut-off wheel and every now and then it will still catch it and rub. Only in reverse though.

The zip tie method is going into action today when I get home.

Did you lift your Mojave? Stock Mojave with 37s?

I have the stock 33’s on mine and the passenger fender liner rubs, just took a razor to it and trimmed it back.

Picture is fully flexed in the rear. No rubbing and gently touching the bump stops.

Wider tires will rub. Easy fix… negligible loss of steering.
