Happy for ya! @Mflowers11

ive been eyeing the gmc canyons a LOT and secretly hoping the “ram” (dodge) re release of the dakota has a higher payload. Payload is really what im after at the moment and REALLY not stroked about owning a full size
Word has it the Ram Dakota could be ready by 2027. I've been waiting for this as well!

All of our friends still drive Silverado's and Sierra's. In the last decade, I can't understand why GM moved to the cheap feel and the build quality of these units.

I started driving Ram 1500 trucks a dozen years ago and never looked back. Then they changed the game in 2019 with the DT. Two words sum it up, world-class.

I should add that I worked for GM for 30 years and use to bleed GM that whole time.

"To each there own" as they say!

What do you mean by send the right message?
I am in finance and many of my clients/prospects are in the nonprofit space. A lifted Gladiator on 35s+ would be a bit much for what I do. Perception is 99% of reality….

I think it's an ugly truck as are most modern trucks with enormous front grills and tiny slanted front windshields. I grew up with parents that bought many gm vehicles so I steer clear of them because the interiors seem to always be shit. The corvette is an exception though. Sounds like with your line of work you should have considered a rivian.

DW is one of the easiest things to fix and most enjoyable as it usually means upgrades not just plain replacement parts .
Not always easy to find…for me it became a time issue on my daily. Can’t have that... Most weeks i work 60 hours a week, manage two properties (aging parents) and a hobby farm. Time has a value. I had replaced/upgraded most of the components as I hunted down the source and had three shops look at it. Brought the caster up to 7.5 and threw a Fox ATS stabilizer on it. For my daily driver I simply don’t have time to trouble shoot the way that took. I may get another when my son is out and I get rid of the JK. Or, I might just get a two door Jeep since I have this truck. Time will tell. Garage and barn are otherwise full so something had to give….

Many find the Gladiator ugly as well. There’s someone for everyone….big and ugly need some love too…. ?

LMAO, if I wanted to spend my life charging in BFE. Nice to look at but…nope.

Nice truck!! You will never find a mid size truck thats as comfortable as a full size truck thats for sure. The company I work for has a fleet of Chevy and GMC trucks and I question why I drive a Gladiator frequently after driving one

Enjoy the new ride Matt. Nice looking truck! I just can’t part with my JTR.
Wish I didn’t have to, will miss it for sure.

Indeed, no argument from me. Interior was amazing and they build a great truck. Test drove a ton and went with what worked for me.

If Chevy ever ever makes a nice looking truck again I might no I’ll prolly still keep my Jeep. I loved my 2011 and 2013 Silverados I owned in the past but the front ends are so ugly now. The new Colorados look awesome from the back until you see the front end. The lack of defined large headlights is hideous IMO. Enjoy your new truck!

It is definitely one of the unique qualities. Not the only one, but probably the reason 90% of people buy one.
Took the bronco for a spin just to see while I was looking…felt a bit more under the hood but otherwise, blah. Was louder than my JT and interior wasn’t as nice.

Jeep still leading the pack in the top & doors off club.

I don’t expect the turbo 4 to sound remotely good haha thankfully the army saw fit to issue me just tons of hearing loss! So the engine sound isnt a concern for me.
Thank you for serving. ?

Maybe since OP has a JK, it will be different though.
I’d like to say you’re right…. But the reality is I’ll miss it for what it is and won’t for the same reason 50/50. Just didn’t fit my current need. It would be a great weekender, not a primary.
