How bad was the AEV procal install?
Honestly pretty annoying, but not awful. Seemed like there could have been a lot of easier ways to make a programmer. But..in any case, watch a YouTube video or two and you'll get through it. Because in the lift kit there is no instructions. You can download and print some, but the YouTube videos are WORLDS more helpful.

Good luck. If you get stumped feel free to PM, and honestly had 1 questions and called AEV and they actually have people answer the phone and assist. Pretty cool.

thank you. Trying to decide Procal or Tazer mini. Or just go to the dealer and have it fixed

I have the AEV Lift and it came with the Procal. Never installed it and think I sold it on Facebook Market place for $50. Granted I had a Tazer before the lift, as all the additional options in the Tazer were way more useful than the Procal. If you want to save money check FB Marketplace or even the for sale forum on here and you should be able to find a Procal for $75 or less.

I know the rake gets a lot of hate, but when you load the bed with camping gear or tow even a small trailer the factory rake disappears, or ends up even slightly nose high. For those who leveled their trucks empty, do you just drive around with the Carolina squat and headlights pointed at the sky when you actually use the truck? Maybe you just never actually use the truck? Sure in a perfect world it would be level in all conditions, but I'll deal with a bit of rake empty vs getting flashed by every oncoming vehicle any time I load anything.
For what its worth & In my experience the AEV dual sport lift with 3" high capacity springs will have a rake regardless if you're fully loaded (full height bed rack, full sized RTT, 2k lbs of overlanding gear) & even pulling a relatively heavy trailer. I'm only 6 months in, so maybe the springs will soften up, but at this point I doubt it will change much. I absolutely should have put in a spacer (3/4 or 1 inch) in the front at the same time when I put on the lift with the high capacity springs.
