First post first question - anyone have the GLADIATOR specific wiring diagrams? If you search - you get this forum but with JL diagrams. Which are close but no cigar… Especially for what I need…

Anyone else have this problem?

My little princess problem. Swapped to Oracle taillights years ago - no problems for all but recently had the right side do the funky chicken. Had it go intermittently a variety of conditions not all at the same time - full dead, no blinker, no reverse… Pulled the light and swapped to the left just to test left worked on the right fine, but not vise versa. Powered the wiring directly with the correct voltage to the correct places - determined the LED board in the light dead…. (Long out of warranty- but form factor and cost bought a new set of Oracles - although I wish they made singles and serviceable at a lower cost)

New ones arrived - put them in - no issues a few days… Now - intermittently- left running light goes out…. Bounce down the hill a little- comes back on… n at the moment…

* I’m an electrician and know my way around wiring and LEDs drivers and such. Likely resistive connection killed the last light due to incorrect voltage/amperage. If the JL is “similar” to the JT there is a jumper in one of the wiring harnesses - and need to find out which one…. And hopefully not have to disassemble the whole harness and jeep to replace that harness or find it…

So I need the CORRECT JT harness wiring diagrams (not JL) to identify the harness this connection. Any help super appreciated! It’s cold and dark under there - and the wife takes it to work… I follow her about at 530AM and - I still love her after all these years …. Kid occasionally drives this one too.

Did you start with halogens or LEDs? Are you using the resistors with the LEDs if you had halogens? Do you have the resistors installed, yet you started with LEDs? Did you use jscan or Tazer to select or reselect LEDs and reboot the system?

Do you have your old lights? You can plug them back in to at least verify the truck wiring.

Original Halogens ripped that rights side off at the dam on the Rubicon… MANGLED! Second set, Oracles for nearly 3 years… with resistors worked excellently - with no issues. No tazer or can bus reboots that I noticed…

When that one died, the left would work in the right side but not vise versa - and it was full dead, can bus didn’t register so wouldn’t send voltages. But if jumpered all but the running light worked… Since the can bus on it is dead. (Likely nicked while cutting it apart) It’s toast… But the other if that set works fine.

3rd set also Oracle - much the same, worked fine for about a week…. One initial reboot did a blink fest and fine… Then went intermittently!just on the taillight…

Hit all of the connections with dielectric grease and came back on - for a few hours…

The Oracle tail lights have a common grounded parallel feed from the dash computer where it has several + feeds that he joined in the oracle harness. In the “JL” diagrams there is a wire jumper that occurs ‘somewhere’ that connects the taillights feeds from one side to the other - and it happens with a splice in the harness….

I’ve confirmed I have the tail light feed on one (left) side, but not on the right.

IF the JT is similar to the JL diagram? It too would happen in the harness that is not shown on the JL diagrams… Under the bed maybe??? Might be in wiring harness 2 or maybe 3? Without the ACTUAL JT diagram, can’t tell…

One side or the other of the connector above the right rear wheel- this connector not showing on the JL diagrams - kinda really need the JT diagrams…. Since both sides of this has ABS wiring in it - don’t want to go poking around in it too much.

Even though you started with halogen, used the resistors and it worked, it is recommended to tell the module that you have LEDs, not originally specified by Oracle.

I started with LED going to LED, I needed to tell to module that had halogen and then back to LED. The resistance has changed between the oem and Oracle. It picks up the new resistance after the boot sequence.

Now if you compromised the harness in some way, that's a whole different story and you now have what you need.

If you need more let me know.

Sooo BTW super helpful so far, but we are on two different pages - but really appreciate the effort!

On the JL diagrams - for DRL which turns on the taillight (with headlights) somewhere there is this connection….

Where is that on a JT?

looks to be above the can bus connection to the right.

Listed under surround view camera system.
