Well, I took the plunge on a new 2023 JT Rubicon in firecracker red. I’ve been watching the prices of JT’s for a while and when this one got discounted $21,500 off list I decided it was time to act. Except for not having the cold weather package it offered everything I would have chosen in a build including LED lighting, tow pkg, aux switches, premium Alpine sounds and leather. I thought it was a great deal for $40,330.00. Not sure yet what upgrades might happen but sure looking forward to some fun times ahead. Pretty sure this was an early 2023 sitting on the dealer lot based on the transportation charge ($1595) compared to others. The later 2023's also had higher list prices for same packages which further made this a great deal IMO. The dealer in OKC had another 2023 white Rubicon for the the same price. I had initially been looking at a Freedom Edition which I liked until this Rubicon was priced almost the same. What's everyone's thinking about extended warranties on these? I've never been inclined to buy those but after the last experience on my Chevy Silverado with the crappy 10-speed transmission I'm giving it some thought.
