Those other trucks may have more stuff at a cheaper price....they are also invisible, when do really ever notice them on the road? Love it or hate it, the gladiator will not be ignored.
So you are paying to be noticed? I guess I am the opposite. I've always been attracted to obscure vehicles that arnt really noticed. I had a 2006 GTO that looked like a chevy cavalier, a 2007 Legacy GT, a Jeep Liberty CRD and a Lexus GX460. None of those vehicles stand out.

I personally do notice them all. Where I live ZR2's, Rubicons, Raptors, Rivians, TRX's etc are very common and always draw my attention because I am interested in them all.

you say I fell into a trap. I’m just curious when in the life cycle of the Gladiator has there been a better deal? Would it have been smarter to by earlier in the cycle “1st year or 2” when msrps were lower, but discounts weren’t out there? I’m just curious on when was the best time to by a Gladiator. I say right now. 15% is not enough to make that pencil out, but 30% sure is imho. In my opinion, you get more truck per dollar right now on 23 Gladiators than ever before.
30% would make things more interesting for me for sure as it would bring things in line with other products that are on the market or about to be.

In 2020 or 2021 there really wasnt much direct competition to the Gladiator. Especially an Ecodiesel Gladiator.

Same here. Been on the Vortex since the old days. It's funny to see how all of us that were once kids with MKIVs now have a lot more money and the threads are about really nice cars.

So no different axel? I thought the Wrangler had it? Also minus the steel bumper and full time 4 wheel couldn't you get that stuff cheaper on the 2023 ?

no the gladiator didn’t get the full float since it already has a higher towing payload than the wrangler.

if you wanted all of the stuff packaged in the X, that would option out to around 74-75 on the builder for a 23.

the X is around ~66k
52,995 base
2500 automatic
10,000 x package

only taking in MSRP

Christ, more VWVortex refugees. There goes the neighborhood. :P

Once upon a time in my reckless youth when I owned a Mk4 I was a mod there. That was while around the time I helped build a Mk3 ABA based Scirocco Grassroots Challenge car and rally crossed a Mk2 Jetta 8v 4door while busting my knuckles on my friends' Mk2's, Mk3's, Mk4's.... but I haven't had a VW since then.

My current stable has a rusted Tacoma that isn't safe to drive for sale for parts, a 2023 Bronquito, an e46 coupe, and a Lesbaru with 200K+ miles. As soon as I'm done paying off the $10K in living room furniture she picked out last year come May I'm buying a JTM and showing those BMW guys how to really hate your money... with style.

That chick Jamie really screwed things up, didn't she? ?

DeeJoker. I still pop over there on occasion but haven't posted in forever. I am still friends with Paul but haven't talked to Jamie or George in about 15+ years.

I recognize that name.

lol. I still pull that every once in a while and people that are post-Jamie but know the joke respond with "that joke is old" or something.

I'm on my second alias, since my first one was swept up in the great PNW purge when Derek lost control of the regional forum in 2001-2002.

Crap. I've been made.

I still think that the UI on that forum was the best I'd seen, and TCL had its time as the best spot on the inter tubes for car-related anything.

But then some possum got hit on the road by a dweeb from Ohio and it all circled the drain!
