Exactly.Yeah, I don't get the hate for EV buyers myself. I also don't understand the EV people who hate on gas either.
I have a car that gets maybe a whopping 10-12 mpg, one that will get 20s, and then the PHEV Jeep and the 3.6 JT
At this point in our world and my life - there's room for each. My son has a pure EV - but then he's in Florida and it almost makes sense for him - sort of - because any time he wants to leave his home area it's an airplane trip, like this coming week. He used to DRIVE up to us, and have his own vehicle. Now he has to fly and borrow one of ours.
Every single article you see out there is as if they were looking to prove or support thoughts they already had. And most leave something out. I see them both ways.
Sort of ironic, I have a gas-guzzling 1973 V8 car and it's not far from a PHEV that will go 25 miles with zero gas. I have a car with a Jeep engine in it.
I run our whole house on electric with a top of the line efficient heat pump system and minisplit for sunroom, but run my shop on a mix of minisplit and LP-fired infrared heat.
I guess sometimes I'm green, sometimes I'm let's see how much gas I can push through this thing and zing it down the track burning rubber off the tires.
I have a foot in each world.
