No way a Mojave can get 20MPG towing 5,000 pounds, I get 17-18 around town 19-20 highway, 13.5 towing in hill area, Delaware at beach gas mileage goes up a lot. I really want to go to skinny tires 255/80/17 , which are an inch taller and 1.5” narrower and could hope a tiny bit better gas mileage. I do live in a hilly area , even my driveway is steep and goes 800 feet up hill. My biggest problem is grandkids live 13 minutes away so in winter Jeep warms up for five minutes, drive 13 miles then repeat! ….Jack
No, not meaning while towing, but get that sort of mpg
or
tow 5,000 pounds without suspension issues (likely would require air bags with the soft springs)
And when not towing, get 20 like I do, or 18-19 winter, like I do now.
It's a much heavier truck, and the "hood scoop" is a big drag on the highway, the bigger tires, tire exposure to the wind up front, I can't see a Mojave touching the mpg of any of the others.
I was doing 21 last night.

No gas powered jt is going to do better than 13s or so towing any real weight. I got 13.9 average here to Cordova and back with my 2020 towing the car on trailer.

Mojave and Rubicon gas powered Gladiators have got to be the worst models for mpg. Not that any Wrangler-based Jeep is going to do really well, but some will do weller than others. (or is that gooder than others..........)

Got an email from our dealer and he said the one I had been looking at sold and was delivered yesterday.
Maybe just as well as if I trade my Overland - it means I have to spend days, if not weeks, removing all of my "stuff" - winch, snow plow wiring and relays and control boxes and adapters, bumper backup lights, MOPAR longer lower control arms, 12v and USB outlets in the bed of the truck - and more. Just so much to do and my head/health and dizziness isn't quite up to the task of doing that "in a rush". I couldn't get it all done in a week. Maybe if there were more Jeep people here who knew Gladiators and electric, I could have a big "Disassemble my mods party".
Possible I'd leave the Synergy front springs in as I'm not sure I'd use them in a Mojave - but then I don't know if Mojave front springs will handle the weight and abuse of a snow plow, either, so maybe I'd swap those back out, too, just so I would have those springs just in case.

So I guess it's a good thing that one sold - nothing to go look at and drool over, move on. Plenty of time if I do decide to swap.

Main concerns with Mojave - for me:
Towing 5,000 pounds
mpg - I can get 20, sometimes more, in the summer, 19 with wind and iffy conditions, 18-19 in the winter. So real-world MPG for a heavy heavy Mojave with 4.10 gearing and bigger, heavier tires makes me think I'd be losing several mpg.
Handling the weight of a snow plow up front. Soft springs ain't gonna cut it.

Will be interesting to follow and see how things work out for you.
Good choice, good color (my 2022 Overland is my second Gladiator in the hydro blue - love it, but my wife says they look good in silver, too - although snazzberry would be a definite check box)
Wow… that’s a lot of stuff to move over from one vehicle to the other. So, I don’t blame you there…. Wrenching (at my age) isn’t as ‘fun’ (or easy) as it used to be.?

We got into the JT knowing the gas mileage wouldn’t be as good as the Canyon. The fun factor outweighs all that. I mean… last year, I only drove the Canyon 4,000 miles. Lots of trips to the lake on the weekends. ☺ We’re in southern PA and soooo waiting for the weather to get nicer!!!

My wife has even said the biggest obstacle is all the mods and having to remove it all, and start over on another. Well, there's interest rates and loan payments, but budget aside, it's really a pain to start over. Dealer wants mine to be put back to stock - including removing my winch and steel bumper, put the stock Overland bumper with stock fog lights back, I forgot about my hood struts, trailer brake controller which is a royal pain to remove and reinstall, ugh.

I had a 2011 Silverado before I got my first Gladiator in 2019 - a new 2020 model Overland. I decided I didn't need a big truck and the hassles of parking, it was just bigger than needed in these years. Cushy, quiet, yeah, but cumbersome in parking lots and mpg wasn't great at mid-teens although the bigger fuel tank helped make up for that - less frequent gas stops on trips.

I can relate… we had a 2004 Dodge Ram for a few years. That towed like a dream, but was too damn big driving around town. Traded that for a 2007 Tacoma which was traded for the 2016 Canyon.

I have to laugh….Driving the Dodge Ram…. This one guy in a parking lot said to me, “That’s a big truck for a little girl” ?
Note: I’m far from little….but, OK…I get it. I’ll never forget that.

Loved every vehicle we’ve had…... we never had any issues with any Of them. I hope this Gladiator treats us well.

My 2011 Silverado was used pretty much for truck stuff - towing, hauling, otherwise it sat a lot. The tires aged out, didn't wear out. They started to show some cracking in the tread at about 45,000 miles. Bought it July 2011, sold it November 2019 with about 47,000 or so miles on it, 8 1/3 years, roughly. 5600 miles a year? Is that right? Not a lot. And that included multiple trips to other states for car shows (towing my car on flatbed trailer) and so on. So if not for those trips, it would have been under 5,000 miles a year. My JTs turned into daily drivers. Comfort, better mpg than the big Chevy - even towing I get better mpg than that LS engine in the big truck did.
Chevy got in the 12s towing, my JTs get in the 13s.
Over 20,000 miles on this one and it will be 2 years old this July. Double the miles of that Chevy.
My SX4 sits a lot now - it used to get driven quite a bit, over 7,000 miles a year (summer use only, show car)

Welcome back to the Jeep world @Janster! Work takes me to Lancaster County all the time so hope to see you around…I have a ‘23 Mojave in Hydro Blue and love the color. Just put my flip top on last week for the season, so worth it for ease of use and enjoying more air time! ✌

If we had more garage space, we’d probably have at least another ‘toy’ ( on wheels) to play with. Our weekend warrior vehicles have changed over the years. We had a 2001 Corvette for about 10 years. Didn’t drive it as much as we thought we would. Beautiful car. It was fast & fun. You had to be careful where you drove it and how you drove it - If the pavement wasn’t flat, you’d risk scraping the underside & don’t dare drive onto a ‘stone’ parking lots or risk paint chips to the rockers. ? It was more stressful just to drive it anywhere!

So…. complete switcheroo…. Sold the vette for a 2017 aluminum bass boat. ☺ We’ve been enjoying it ever since. The husband has an M340i to satisfy his need for speed. ? And the JT…… that satisfies our truck needs, our towing needs, a convertible, and an offroader all wrapped up into one. And we love the Jeep community too!

Sadly, I had to sell this to finance my first JT - and to make space............

man, I miss that car. One of my favorite Javelins, although my 73 is fine, it's just a lot bigger and not in the best shape.

Some young guy in Texas is enjoying it now.
Still have my SX4 and 73 Javelin to mess with.

Nice!! It’s nice to see the younger generations showing interest in these old classics and keeping them on the road. They’re the ones who will NEED to pass them along to their kids & Grandkids. Gotta keep the history alive!
The hubby had a 71 Dodge Demon 340 (Hemi Orange) when he was a teenager. He has some fond memories of working on it with his Dad. ?
Me? Ha!! My first car was when I turned 18…..a 1982 Plymouth Horizon that was bought from a junkyard. That thing just barely lasted long enough to get me thru college, but I learned a hell-of-a-lot in repairing it!!! ?

Good Afternoon!!
My husband and I bought a 2024 Gladiator Mojave X about 2 weeks ago. Traded my 2016 GMC Canyon that I’ve had since new. The Canyon was a GREAT truck and I can’t complain. We were actually looking to get a 2024 Canyon….but…. GM seems to have one issue after another (and my husband doesn’t like the 4cyl turbo?). I work from home fulltime, so we opted to get a FUN vehicle to enjoy the top down and doors off.
We’re not new to the Jeepin world…. We had a 92 Wrangler Islander named IZZY back in 2001. Izzy had Grand Wagonner Dana44’s w/ ARB’s and 4.5” lift and 33’s. Unfortunately, Izzy was in an on-road accident (bought the wreck)and swapped everything over to IZZY II (1994 Jeep Wrangler on 35’s). We trailered Izzy II to various places, including Tellico. We had sooo much fun back then!! Things change and life changes…clubs fall apart.. and we got OLD…… ?
I introduce you to IZZY III……. Nothing fancy. We don’t plan on doing anything other than a GREEN trail…. but just lovin the jeep community again. YES!! I got my first DUCK last weekend at Quadratec!! I’ve been giving away ducks too! You just can’t get that kinda fun with other vehicles. I used to do the ‘forum’ thing back when I was younger - so please pardon. I’m getting tired of Facebook groups. ? We’re from Lancaster County PA. If you’re in the area, look us uP! Happy Jeepin’!!

Welcome to ya... We're in northern PA, Cook Forest, and soooo waiting to go topless also. Have no problems with 30-40 + inches snow with plenty of hills in our Rubicon, 18.5 mpg. Enjoy Lizzy lll.
