Thoughts on running it through a paint strainer filter and reusing? I have done that in the past...I have these paper filters with mesh in the bottom...honestly don't know where I got them years ago but I must have ordered 500 and used them for years. If I dump the diff early I will filter it and put back in assuming still honey colored...Parking brake/shield mounts between axle flange and axle shaft.
I hated having to drain it again a week after I changed it but it let me inspect diff gears.
You're gonna love these! Looks great in your JeepInstalled a set of Oracle Oculus Bi-LED lights this afternoon. Anxiously awaiting sunset this evening so I can properly aim them and do a road test. Original plan was to stick with the halogens, so the bulb heat would help with melting snow build up. But a recent drive through lake effect snow near Cleveland determined that was just wishful thinking. Might as well enjoy quality light the rest of the year if the halogens are going to freeze up anyway.

Yes , thank you. They are the XL/Long.Size looks perfect.
I like the Oracle lights, but I wish they offered a complete light(no reflector) or wish they would offer a smoked reflector. I hate the red reflector lol.@ORACLElights
I installed my LED rear bumper lights.
So far I really like them !
I purchased the plug-n-play wiring harness. (Tail light version). It made installing a breeze. The scariest part of the install, was pulling out the tail light for the first time.

I'm guessing it has to do with DOT laws for "road" use vehicles.I like the Oracle lights, but I wish they offered a complete light(no reflector) or wish they would offer a smoked reflector. I hate the red reflector lol.
The replacement lights for the wrangler are a complete light for reflector replacement.So they at least threw the DOT caution to the wind on those... They could do it for us too!I'm guessing it has to do with DOT laws for "road" use vehicles.
Atleast it's small and well done for what it is.
@ORACLElights
Maybe an "OFFROAD " version ?
DOT was just a guess, nothing to back it up.The replacement lights for the wrangler are a complete light for reflector replacement.So they at least threw the DOT caution to the wind on those... They could do it for us too!

I absolutely would’ve reused the week old diff fluid if I had a good way to get it back into the axleThoughts on running it through a paint strainer filter and reusing? You have definitely made that bad boy yours, in a good way.New Grille from Distinction Applied. Trim is matte carbon fiber. Weather kept changing so the before & after pics look very different.![]()

Yea, that makes sense...I get head down thinking of my process and forget there are materials I use and assume everyone has!I absolutely would’ve reused the week old diff fluid if I had a good way to get it back into the axle
Thanks. All she needs now is a vacation to AMW 4x4. LolYou have definitely made that bad boy yours, in a good way.
I like the front bumper, it's full width, but still high clearance.
