I went to the dealership last Thursday and showed them the part numbers another dealer gave me and the part numbers I found listed online for my vin.

The parts manager looked at the part numbers his people had been ordering and they were different than my numbers.

Why are they different? Because the dealer was ordering a shock number for an accessory shock not a factory shock.

Why order and accessory shock? Because they had just ordered one for another customer so they thought it would be the same.

Problem with that thinking was I needed a factory shock for a warranty repair therefore the system kept kicking it back as a part not available.

The correct shocks came in Friday and are being installed on the truck as I write this.

Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

If they had gone into their system and ordered the part # for my vin it would have been fixed in a couple of days.

If you are experiencing the same problem with your truck you should get it to a dealer asap because the Cleveland Ohio parts warehouse only had a limited supply of shocks available.

When they ordered them last week for my vehicle they only had 1 rear shock available for one side and 6 of the shocks for the other side.

Do other warehouses have the parts, I don't know, possibly.

There has been a lot of discussion about Jeep no longer buying shocks from Fox and having Bilstein build the shocks, with the same specs, for the Mojave.

Would one brand be better than the other? Your guess is as good as mine.

The important thing is to get them replaced under warranty if yours are bad.

List price for Mojave shocks is roughly $2,900 each for the front shocks and $660 each for the rear shocks.
If I have to buy shocks for my Mojave, I will be going aftermarket

Sounds as if you have a good dealer to work with, best of luck & keep us updated.

The Fox 2.5s that came with my Mopar 2 inch lift are just too weak and allow the rear to bounce. I ordered Fox 2.5 remote res and adj from Accutune. I was told these are the best.
