I did check with MetalCloak and they said that they do not have shocks for to fit a pure Mojave.
How long ago did you check? I was told it would be a month a few weeks back when they first came out. Checked the site yesterday and saw this along with the rear set. I will reach out tomorrow and confirm.

Ok update for today:

I went to the dealership to get face to face answers.

The parts department manager explained than every time they put the order into the system it kicks it out.

I said that my rear shocks have a reservoir, not believing me he went out and look at my truck & ask if it was lifted. No it is factory, I replied.

So we compare the part numbers that they have been ordering to the part number the other dealership gave me…they are different!

I explained that the other dealership can order the shocks for my truck and it showed 6 in stock for 1 side rear shock and 2 available for the other rear shock.

I explained that I can order my part numbers online through
https://www.allmoparparts.com/,
but I confirmed it by first putting in my vin number.

See where this is going… with my part numbers they have 6 of one side and 1 for the other side… he ordered them from the Cleveland warehouse, said they would be here tomorrow & he’s 99% sure they are the correct ones.
….and the waiting continues…

Additional update:
Chrysler warranty department just called, me in response to my call 2 days ago, I explained the situation and they are now reaching out to the dealership to confirm my story and assist in getting this resolved.

Everyone has been easy to work with, I didn’t waste their time yelling, screaming and cussing and they returned in kind.

I appreciate all the help & comments from this forum!!! With your help I was able to attack this problem well prepared (at least I hope that I have my “feces consolidated”).

What I have found (as always) is talk face to face, you get better answers faster.

Over three weeks ago…he did say that they have something coming out soon.

If you try them and they work out for you, great let everyone know.

Now go back and read the whole thread & you will see that my Mojave is pure stock and I am trying to get my rear shocks covered under warranty as in free, free And not $1,400

So you contacted Metal Cloak just for future knowledge? I may have misunderstood. Happens often on forums. Best of luck getting your shocks replaced for free.

No problem, I was thinking that I would get a lift from MetalCloak someday and buying their shocks now “might” be better in the long run, but decided best to get free now and do the lift all at once later.

Mine have always made the noise. It's between a squeak and crunch sound. A squnch sound.
They work fine, and they only make the sound when it's cooler weather.
Holy shit this is exactly what mine have been doing too! What a spot on description. My driver side front and rear are making these noises and the replacement shocks are also on backorder, per the dealer.

i too have joined the ranks of the bad Fox Shocks on my 21 Mojave with you guessed it .... 18k miles on her.

got to take her back next week so they can inspect and can confirm there at the dealership before they can order any. grrrrrrrrrrr. I can push down on the front bumper and you can hear how bad they are. the service writer standing right there next to me when I did that.

Dealership said shocks not available so they can’t order them!

They are going to see if they order them directly from Fox & charge them back to Jeep.

I will believe it when I see it.

I wonder if this will turn into some sort of class action lawsuit…

I just contacted Jeep warranty and they opened a case to look into the matter. They will first get in contact with the dealer to see what the issue is and then call me back in 1-2 days.
why not send in for a rebuild and charge warranty/Jeep?

I did not read through all the posts here so forgive me if already discussed on this thread. I was thinking about Rocksports by Metal cloak. My shocks are making noise as well @ 33k miles.

These are in consideration for sure, waiting for real life reviews before I go all in. Especially at the co$t. But OMG are they sexy!!!

actually thats a decent price. Thx for sharing, I was considering getting nicer FOXs in the future but this is much more user friendly and cheaper.

True, but couldn’t hurt to suggest it to em.
Anything is possible I guess but it is just a big hurdle to get a company like FCA/Stellantis to do something they are not generally process driven to do and that is one off compensations for billables presented by the customer to them for a warranty repair done by a third party.

I went to the dealership last Thursday and showed them the part numbers another dealer gave me and the part numbers I found listed online for my vin.

The parts manager looked at the part numbers his people had been ordering and they were different than my numbers.

Why are they different? Because the dealer was ordering a shock number for an accessory shock not a factory shock.

Why order and accessory shock? Because they had just ordered one for another customer so they thought it would be the same.

Problem with that thinking was I needed a factory shock for a warranty repair therefore the system kept kicking it back as a part not available.

The correct shocks came in Friday and are being installed on the truck as I write this.

Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

If they had gone into their system and ordered the part # for my vin it would have been fixed in a couple of days.

If you are experiencing the same problem with your truck you should get it to a dealer asap because the Cleveland Ohio parts warehouse only had a limited supply of shocks available.

When they ordered them last week for my vehicle they only had 1 rear shock available for one side and 6 of the shocks for the other side.

Do other warehouses have the parts, I don't know, possibly.

There has been a lot of discussion about Jeep no longer buying shocks from Fox and having Bilstein build the shocks, with the same specs, for the Mojave.

Would one brand be better than the other? Your guess is as good as mine.

The important thing is to get them replaced under warranty if yours are bad.

List price for Mojave shocks is roughly $2,900 each for the front shocks and $660 each for the rear shocks.
